rope toy and Promise's fling, slippers, sneakers, the trampoline pool cover, Nanna's bathrobe and anything I can hoard
Turkey, Ritz Crackers, anything that my Momma is eating, anything that anyone is eating, yogurt, beneful mixed with my dog food is pretty good, too!
the whole backyard and around the circle at the campground!!
We found our darling Daisy from a wonderful rescue association here in New Jersey. http://allaboutthem.moonfruit.com/
She came into our lives on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005 and we haven't been the same since! Daisy has been a laugh a minute.. that is, when she is awake. She is a sweet, kind, loving girl with a wonderful heart. Linda, I cannot thank you enough for making this perfect match. I love you for that... She is our first "once-in-a lifetime" baby girl dane. God really does listen to your deepest prayers!
Auntie Em, there's no place like home!

I haven't written in so long because my life has been a whirlwind of craziness! I knew this family needed me.. and boy are they giving me a workout. My mommie has been sick this year so I've been helping her through some hard times. She finished her medicine in June, but right after that my Nanna fell and broke her hip and arm. They had to take her away and she stayed away all summer. My little girl Lexi got really sick in June, too. Mommie was very upset but all turned out ok. I went camping with my family and it's SOOO much fun. I don't like walking on a leash, but they say that I have to. Our camper is beautiful and I have a couch to myself. That's me on the beautiful purple blanket Daddi bought just for me and my couch!! The beautiful picture of me with my flowers on is at our Campground Luau. I ate fresh roasted pig and carrots! I spend lots of time camping with my cousins Salem and Cheyanne and we have a blast.
During the week when we are home, Mommie drags me into our pool in the backyard. I hate it and I hate swimming!
This Summer was very hard on my family. Mommie had special treatments through August and they made her very tired... but she said it wasn't as bad as the rest of the year. My nanna came home in September just in time for my Mommie's birthday and she is home now. There are alot of different people in our house. Mommie says they are all taking care of our Nanna. What confusion... what a crazy house! I knew I did the right thing when I chose this family.. I have my work cut out for me. They sure do need me now! We've had a very bad year.. but Mommie says that I am the best thing that ever happened to us! Imagine that.. me!
Daddie thinks I'm the greatest, too. He gives me tons of cookies and an unending supply of Dingo bones. Everybody keeps stealing them, though...so I found a cool spot in my backyard to bury them. I wonder if Daddy knows about the hugh hole I left him???
Because we had such a tough year, Mommie got Lexi a special puppy of her own.. imagine.. now we have 4 dogs! Another Papillon... This puppy is a disaster waiting to happen. She torments me.. chews on my tail and face, steals my dingo bones and tries to sleep in my crate. I don't mind, she's just a baby and Shimmer HATES her... Promise tolerates her.. I feel sorry for her.. she's kinda cute and very playful. I have to take care of her. When mommie takes her outside on her little leash, I have to follow and keep a watchful eye on them to make sure that they are ok. She just better not try and steal my food.
I am such an EXCELLENT dog!

Well, Dear Diary:
I've been so busy, I don't even have time to write. My new home is wonderful and I can finally sleep at night. It took me a long time to get used to this, and I have to admit, I'm still scared but it's a great place.
As you can see, we finally got our new couch. Mommie says the chaise is especially for me. I like it, but I like it better when everyone sits with me. It's certainly better than the small thing we had before.
Promise has finally settled down. She still barks at me and tries to bite, but I know she's just trying to be a tuff kid. I really want to play with her, but she is very possessive and spoiled. I suppose I'll have to live with that.
Mommie is feeling better these days, but she still cries. I hate when she does that because it makes me sad, too. So I just sit by her and make her laugh. Mommie says she can't wait for me to go camping and see our new RV. She's worried that I'll be scared and won't fit in the camper! I've never been camping, but as long as my family is there, I'll be ok.
I hate the neighbors.. they make so much noise, so I just bark back at them. Mommie said I can only go out at night if I promise not to bark, so I've been pretty good.. or else she'll have to walk me on the leash. I don't like the leash that much because I can't run. My backyard is awesome. There's so many hiding places. Sometimes Mommie gets nervous because she can't find me.. but it's all good.. It's just hide and seek Daisy style.
Daddie loves me alot, so he dosen't mind the mess I leave. He chases me around and loves to play. He likes when I tear up the lawn, I think. They both keep saying something like wait till that cover comes off... I don't know what they mean....but they say it everytime I run across the middle of the yard.. there's this big bouncy thing on the patio.. mommie says it's the pool... but I don't know what that is either.
Well, I gotta go now. Mommie is awake and if she sees me on the computer again, I'll be grounded.

Wow.. what a crazy month... it's been really hectic here. Momma had a really big surgery and she was gone for 4 days. I didn't like it at all. My aunt/godmother took good care of me, and so did my daddy, but it wasn't the same.
When momma finally came home, they wouldn't let me hug her or jump on her. I was pretty much scared to death so I stayed in my crate alot. She cried when she saw me, but I knew that she couldn't hug me.
Momma's somewhat better now. She has alot of pain still, but she gives me kisses and she's starting to play with me more. Daddy and RJ play with me alot, so I got tons of attention, but momma is the best! She smells nicer and kisses me alot more than them.
Momma sleeps on the couch alot. She says the bed isn't comfortable yet... so I sleep there with her every night... curled up in my special spot at her feet. Momma says we're getting a new LayZboy couch and there's a spot just for me at the bottom of the chaise lounge! I can't wait!
Every once in a while I catch Momma crying. She says I cheer her up when I lick her tears and won't leave her alone until she stops. Momma says she's scared cuz she needs some treatments.. but she's gonna be ok....especially because she has me... she dosen't know that I have special healing powers.. or maybe she does.
Oh well, Promise is stealing my fuzzy snake and I'm gonna go play with her. Momma says I should be gentle because I use my paws alot and Promise is little... but she's a tuff kid, she can take it.
Got to go...
