Arrival Story:
A neighbor of Frasier's knew he was being horribly neglected on a chain. She wrote letters for a year, looking for a rescue group to take him. (His "owner" didn't want him.) Her friend started dating a guy in my husband's band, my name was mentioned as helping dogs...so he ended up in my living room. I fostered him until recently, when he found his dream home.

Bio:
Frasier is a sweet, fun-loving 60 lb hound/pointer mix, about 20 months old. He's the perfect combination of a mellow adult dog who sleeps at your feet and a playful young dog who chases balls. He LOVES other dogs and likes cats. He is submissive, so he'd make a good companion to an alpha dog. Frasier is extremely loving, eager to please and learns quickly. He walks well on a leash, loves car rides and is completely housebroken. He's comfortable in a crate, but can also be left loose in the house. He is good with children. Due to his size, strength and adolescent awkwardness, he should probably be adopted by a family with children 7 years or older. Frasier was a stray who was allowed to roam free as the "neighborhood dog", before he spent 6 months chained in a back yard. He still has a strong urge to roam, but settles for walks 2-3 times a day. He cannot be left unsupervised in a fenced back yard; he will try to escape.

She taught me, at my request, how to add her photo badge to my page. Now all my visitors can gaze upon her with awe, as I do...

A few of the reasons I love her: her sparkling wit, her sense of humor, her love of milk bones and Lassie movies, and of course, her spectacular ears!

So long, Old Mom

Thanks for coming over to say goodbye before you left town; I was SO excited to see you again! (Sorry for knocking off your glasses- I got a little carried away.) I bet you were surprised to find out that I can be outside my backyard, off leash, without running away now! I was a little surprised, too, but I love my home & never want to run away again.

I did settle down at your feet & let you rub my belly; oh, I love those belly rubs...

I think you were teary as you left; I tried to follow you to find out for sure. Don't be sad- I have a great home (and another new kitten to play with); life is very, very good.

Maybe we'll meet again someday... If not, know that when I smile, it's partially because of you. (And my new home, family, cats, walks, LOVE, food, toys, LOVE, did I mention LOVE?)

Dodger's Mom writes:

"Just wanted to pass this along to you & send you a picture
of Dodger & his new best friend, Little Fiddle. Fiddle
came to us via the alley as a kitten last fall. They really
love each other & play to no end, chasing each other around
the house. (Fiddle doesn't go outside.) Our oldest cat,
Kitwit the gray tabby, died last March."

R.I.P., dear Kitwit. Say hi to Honey for me. (She likes cats, so don't worry.)
