Arrival Story:
I bought Ripley from a breeder in Oregon, he was 1.5 pounds when I brought him home and used to love to sleep on the end table!! Surprisingly it was not hard to break him of that..We just put books there..LOL.. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ He is a very smart dog, if I had the energy I would do agility with him, he would love it! He loves soft toys with squeekers in them and he will see one that I am giving to a puppy when it goes home, and days later he will go look where he last saw it, usually on the table. I have a big box with new toys in it for the puppies to take home with them, and if I don't put it up he will find a way into the box even if I pile other boxes on it. Unfortunately I cannot allow the dogs to have any anymore because I have 3 dogs that will rip the stuffing out in 5 minutes.. oops 4 dogs cus he will do it to! He is the one who taught little Kizzie how to do that.. brats..hehehe ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ Non of them like the kongs, I have bought several and they never touch them, even if I put goodies in it. Same thing with rope toys! They also end up in the yard soaking wet..lol

Well did I ever have a bad scare 2 days ago!! We have serious mice problems here sometimes and so I use this stuff called just one bite and I have used it for years, it always works, and my dogs have always been safe from it until now.

We had some in a utility cabinet and someone left it ope and the kitchen gate open. I am talking to a client and I turn and see Ripley eating away on this block of poison!! I called the vet and took him right in, they made him vomit, and he was fine and is fine. Just in case we are giving him vitamin K since this kind of poison depletes the vitamin K so the blood will not clot and the mice bleed out.

I shouldn't be surprised he got into it, but I am, and even more surprised he liked it..LOL.. He ate a pretty good sized chunk it looked like to me. Vet never saw it in his vomit though so he says he did not ingest enough to hurt him.. gads! I am never putting poison in that cabinet again thats for sure.

I am just glad he is ok.. I was so worried and scared I was crying!!
