These kinds of dogs are waiting patiently at pounds all over the United States. They are purebred, mutt... the pound does not discriminate. They may have barked too much, chewed on the furniture one time too many, or had an accident on the new rug. They were at one time loved and wanted.... not any more. The homeless pet population is soaring in the US. Please consider adopting a homeless pet. The love these dogs will give you in return is worth any adoption fee. Also please spay or neuter your dog. Immunize your dog and put him or her on a flea and heartworm preventative. Your dog will thank you!!!

Bio:
Get involved with animal rescue in your city. All it would take is one visit to a pound and you would want to rescue every dog there. Volunteers are welcomed with open arms for many things.... fostering, fundraising, transporting animals to vet appointments, adoption clinics.... the list goes on and on. The feeling you will get when a dog you have fostered or maybe even spent just a little bit of time with is adopted is the best feeling ever. *** The dog in the photo was rescued from the pound and adopted to a loving family. ***
