Likes:
More than anything, I like being with my people. As long as I'm where they are, I'm a happy camper. I also LOVE to snooze on the couch, go for walks, and watch TV. Did I mention I'm a sucker for baby talk?

Pet-Peeves:
I hate being left alone and, to prove it, I've chewed up the arms of mom and dad's mission furniture. My other "pet peeve" is people who try to pet me without getting my persmission first!

Favorite Toy:
Anything I can rip, chew or shake the stuffing out of.

Favorite Food:
Anything people eat is okay food by me. My favorites are any kind of meat (no surprise there), but I especially like Caesar salad croutons (mmmmmm, garlic!)

Favorite Walk:
My mom and dad have 40 acres of wooded property with a creek. That's my favorite place to walk, run, sniff - you name it- because when I'm there I never have to wear a leash!

Best Tricks:
My best tricks? Well, they're not tricks exactly, but I heel, sit, stay, and lie down. I can also shake and I'm very good at catching things, especially if they're edible.

Arrival Story:
After years of living with and caring for dogs that technically belonged to our children, they moved out and took their dogs with them. It was then my husband decided we would get a dog of HIS choosing. He knew he wanted a large dog so we started researching and were very attracted to the RR. One day, as a lark, I looked in the classifieds and found a breeder with puppies for sale about 3.5 hours away from our home. So, we jumped in the car and took a little road trip. It was love at first sight!

Bio:
Simba was 5 mos old when we got her and had NEVER been in a car or inside a house. My husband had to put her in and get her out of the car to get her home. Once we got her here, she wouldn't go into the house. For the first three days we had to carry her both in and out the door.

Mom and dad are about to start construction on our new house in the country. Our family is SO excited - two-legged and four-legged. Schnitzel, Cap'n Jack and I LOVE to run (actually, Schnitzel would rather dig!) and there's lots of room to do it in out there. Plus, we NEVER have to wear leashes. It's a little slice of heaven on earth. When there is actually something to see, I'll try to get my mom to post pictures of our new home. I can't wait!

Not much exciting today. Mom and Dad both had to work so Schnitzel and I hung around the house napping. The new bed is still sitting in the living room, but I won't lay on it. I did try chewing on it, but mom covered the corners with tin foil and spoiled my fun. The couch is still MY favorite place.

Great day today! Dad didn't have to go to his work place so we got to go out in the country where Mom and Dad are going to build their house. I LOVE it when we go there because I never have to wear a leash and I can go wherever I want. Forty acres of trees and hills and a creek make a great doggy playground. It got kind of cold after awhile but since Dad put that new wood stove in the barn I can always go in there to warm up. I can't WAIT to live out there!!
