HOW SWEET IT IS! 4/21/2009April 21st 2009 8:06 am[ Leave A Comment | 1 person already has ]
It's been some time since I have been able to enter a few notes in my diary. But, today is my Birthday and I just wanted to say that that my new camo collar, my new bag of treats, my new Sir Rowdy name tag, all came as a huge surprise. For so many years I didn't get a thing for my Birthday. I had all that I needed, however. Home for Friendless Animals were very good to me; I had my own run, I was fed everyday, there were volunteers who would let me out a few times a month to run in the excercise yard, I was never abused, like so many of my canine buddies. Now, it's totally different. If I shiver, Danny Boy or Patti, has a binky for me to snuggle up in. If I need a snack, I just go up and give em' the sad eye. If I want to go for a walk, I just ask Danny Boy and we are off and running, or, we go for a car ride. I never miss a meal. I get more hugs and kisses than any dog should, even me. I get bathed and groomed once a month, my teeth and ears have never been cleaner.
I Love Race Time In INDY!May 24th 2007 6:21 am[ Leave A Comment ] You know why? It's the week that Danny Boy and Ralphie pulled me from Home for Friendless Animals. To think of the great life that I have now is just amazing. Danny Boy tells me that if it were not for me, that he would be on Prozac? Don't know what that stuff is or does, but, if Danny Boy tells me, it must be true. He's my best buddy and I know that I'm his. NO doubt. Happy Anniversary!
They Say It's My Birthday...Happy Birthday to You. - McCartney.April 21st 2007 9:38 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
April 21st, Number 9, Almost 2 years from the only home that I knew for 7 years, Home for Friendless Animals, a NO-Kill Shelter. Really, the only date on record is that I was born in April. Danny Boy's B-Day is the 21st, so he made mine the 21st,so that we can celebrate, together. But, I do need to make a comment. He took off on me today and played golf. I was very upset.
Kept BOOMER in Check tonight!September 26th 2006 12:08 pm[ Leave A Comment ] As we were walking the trail tonight, a lady with a Golden were out in the back yard common of her condo. A plastic fence is surounding the area that they were in because of some landscaping work that is being done. Well, as soon as the Golden Boy sees Rowdy Boy, he jumps the fence, crosses a non-busy road to get to us in a hurry. His owner, Ann, was beside herself because of him bolting off on her! She's yelling at Boomer, to no avail. But, Rowdy and Danny Boy get Boomer in check and pop our extra lead on him. Ann comes running over, telling me that Boomer has never done anything like that! Doesn't surprise us, happens all the time. We've been told that one before. It just seems other dogs want to come and be with Rowdy. It's true.
A Year Since Danny Boy Pulled Me!May 24th 2006 7:21 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Today marks a year since Danny Boy pulled me from Home for Friendless Animals. What a year it has been. New adventures, new smells, free from the Run and wondering if anyone would ever adopt me. Heck, I hit the Doggy Lotto! I have a home that has given me all the love that any dog could have, let alone a rescue dog that had been passed over for 7 years. I get more hugs, kisses, walks, car rides, sleeping in a human bed, treats, other dog friends, that I ever thought existed. I know that my Forever Home, is forever. All I need to do is come when Danny calls me , look at him with the greatful gaze that I can only give to him, and not pee in the house. Of course, I love my mama, Patti. If it weren't for her I would not be with my Danny Boy, she was very skeptical about me coming to her home after being in a Shelter for so long. It didn't take long for me to win her over with my charm, affection, and appreciation that I showed for her. My only advice to my Shelter dog friends, is this. It can happen, day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute, hang in there, don't give up or give in. Your Forever Home could be the next visitor to the Shelter. To another year. I'm ready!
Runnin' as Hard as I Can>>>>>>>>>>February 14th 2006 8:40 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Spring in February, in Indiana? A walk was a must today, a BIG walk.....but it felt so good to know that Spring REALLY is just around the corner, I needed to run as fast as I possibly could, tail to the ground fast....Dan called me a nut. It was just that good to be out today, on the River trails in Indy.
Helped a Baby PitBull Today.January 13th 2006 8:11 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
On our walk today a baby Pit came running to us and her owner was helpless and clueless.
-New Dog Jacket-December 19th 2005 9:50 am[ Leave A Comment ] Wow, It has been cold in Indy lately. Dan must have lost it though. He bought me this jacket that looks like a mini-horse blanket. He says that it's for our walks and that he wants me to be warm while out on our trails. I must admit, it is warm, but, I think that I look like a sissy boy, not a Rowdy Boy?

Beside Diggin' in the Dirt, I just smelled too much like a dog for the Holiday's.
STEELERS vs COLTS -Monday Night FootballNovember 29th 2005 9:27 am[ Leave A Comment ] Rowdy,Major, RJ, and Dan had a BIG night last night watching the game. The Colts kept their 11-0 record in tack and Rowdy and Major were able to go on a night time walk at half time. Greenies were served as well as Lemon Drop Martinis for the humans. Rowdy and Major were up way after their normal bedtime and and should be catching up on naps today.
