My eyes

Mom and Dad have taken me to the doctor a lot lately! The doctor said I had cataracts (i knew cats caused trouble) and he took them out! I can see better now but Mom is putting drops in my eyes all the time. I wish she would stop.

Katie's Presents

Katie found a box of presents this afternoon and opened them. (She told the story on her diary earlier today.) She shared them with us, and that's when I got a bit suspicious. Sure enough, they weren't actually hers.

Dad came to her rescue, and Mom found something called Valium, so we're all back to normal now.

Waiting

I'm still waiting for Dad to get some more Bubba Cola. He has photos of me pretending to drink coffee and pretending to drink soda. I'm afraid to know what he's going to do next.

Lately, he's been taking photos of Katie and Murphy running in the yard. I'm glad they're here to distract him. I think Ripley is, too.

We've had lots of visitors this summer and they all seem to be visiting my Grandma. Some stay for days at a time and some just run in and run out. It's getting so I don't know who' s in the family and who's out! It's very confusing.

Long time

Wow! It's been a long time since I posted here. With Dad moving his office home, and Mom going to school and now Grandma in the hospital, there's been a lot going on around here.

When Mom and Dad are visiting Grandma, Flower and I have to guard the house. This is a good setup, because I can send her out to check any suspicious noises, so I'm there in case she needs backup. I suppose I should go first, since I'm the guy, but I want to make sure I survive so I can describe the intruder to the police. Besides, Flower is crankier than I am.

Bubba Cola

Dad went to Save-A-Lot tonight and they had Bubba Cola! I have my own soft drink. Dad won't let me taste it, but he said it's pretty good. Mom reminded me they found Bubba Beer somewhere, too, so I'm famous. (And Mom thought "Bubba" was a bad name. Sheesh.)

Woosh!

Time is really going by fast! I haven't updated for a while, and Dad just reminded me that I should be keeping up to date, since my adoring fans want to know what's going on. I think he was being sarcastic, like when he talks to Mom about her cooking.

My ear is almost completely healed. I had surgery for a hematoma, which was pretty scary. The fun part was that I got to wear an Elizabethan collar for a while so I could lick or chew the area that was healing. I spent a lot of time quoting Shakespeare. It was fun. I like dressing up.

Anyway, the collar is gone now, and I'm back to normal!

Ripley had back surgery and he has to rest in his crate all day. That would make me crazy, but he seems to like it. To each his own, I guess.

Mom and Dad keep having Sparky's Pals meetings here in my house, so there have been a lot of people to bark at. Most of them have been really nice, so we haven't had to run anyone off yet.

This cone is annoying!

I keep waiting for Mom to take this stupid cone off my head, but it's still here. It makes it hard to get in and out of my crate, not that I want to be in there! Plus, it's difficult to eat because I have to get positioned just right so I can reach my bowl.

Hopefully, it will come off soon.

Dad said Ripley had surgery on his back this afternoon. This is his second surgery on his back! I think last time, he had to wear a cone for a bit, so I may not be alone. Surgery loves company, I suppose. I hope he's ok, because I miss his advice.

Satellite Dish - ugh!

I had ear surgery last weekend and it was pretty annoying! Now I have to wear this satellite dish on my head for a whole month! It makes it hard to sneak up on anybody because it gets there before I do. I hope a month isn't too long.

Stir-crazy

It's been raining a lot in the past couple of days, so we haven't been going out lately. You know, "going."

It also means Dad and Mom have been home a lot so we've been out but they've been watching everything we do. Where's the fun in that? Maybe Dad will go to the office tomorrow, but I doubt it - it sounds like the rain is going to be here for a while, and he says he doesn't want to drive on wet, frozen roads with people who don't know how to drive in cold weather (I think he just likes working at home better!)

I hope it dries out soon. I need to visit the tree. Badly.

I've been playing with Katie a little bit now and then, because it's fun to play with a puppy, but also because it's fun to play with Mom's mind. Mom keeps waiting for me to try to take Katie out, but she's cute and she's young, so I'll just give her a ride for now. For now.
