Arrival Story:
A girl I once knew was aware that I was looking for a dog for the man I was with at the time. On her way home one day there was a puppy sitting quite literally on the yellow line. She stopped and picked him up, knowing she could never forgive herself if she went back out later and he was hurt or worse. She gave us a call and we went to check him out. He melted my heart and we kept him, even though the man wasn't so sure. I cared for him in all ways and he became very devoted to me, and only me. When the relationship failed, I threw the man out of my life and kept the dog. One of the best choices I've made if I say so myself. Foster left us on 7/16/2010 after a brief battle with widespread hepatic disease. He will be sorely missed by so many people but there's so many good memories to hold us up.

Bio:
Foster knows the difference between his left paw and his right paw and he gives the best puppy hugs I've ever gotten. He's friendly unless he decides someone is bad news, and even then he lets me know to stay away usually without anyone else knowing he's communicating. Most people tend to be afraid of him in general because he looks a bit odd and has ice blue eyes that tend to glow red in certain light but he wants to be everyone's friend and his goal in life is to protect what's his and all kids that exist (known from him being attack by a chow that came into the front yard and his main goal until the kids and smaller dog were inside was to keep his body between the chow and the kids). He will bark at someone in the yard if he doesn't know them but only if he doesn't have to get off the bed in the process. I know from experience that he will scare someone off if they try to break in (he even went bonkers the next night when someone tried to get into the neighbor's house) but when he's outside playing he ignores pretty much anyone who walks by.
