Nicknames:
Muffy

Quick Bio:
-purebred

Likes:
Muffy loved going for rides, being at camp, swimming, and being with her family.

Pet-Peeves:
Not much--she was the best natured dog I've ever met. She did not like walking on snow, however. Her feet were sensitive to the cold.

Favorite Toy:
Her red rubber squeeky mouse.

Favorite Food:
Dash or Alpo canned food

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere her people went.

Arrival Story:
We always wanted a cocker spaniel, but my mother was afraid that her eldery parents who lived with us would fall or trip over a dog. After they passed away, Mom finally decided it was time for a puppy. We asked a neighbor where they got their cocker, and went to the breeder. Muffy was the friendliest puppy in the litter, putting her feet up at us to be picked up. It was 1964, I was 12 years old at the time, and she was my first puppy.

Bio:
Muffet got her name because the breeder suggested that we feed her shredded wheat muffets when she was a puppy because she got an upset stomach from the puppy food we gave her. She outgrew eating the cereal, but the name stuck! Muffy could sit up, roll over, shake hands, and shut an open door on command. She was with us a short 9 years, but she will live in our hearts forever. She was the best dog that ever lived!

A long, long time ago

A very long time ago, I was very, very sick. My family had brought me to the vet, then came and got me. I was so tired that I could hardly walk. That night I fell asleep and didn't wake up. My mom was just 21, and she found me. She couldn't stop crying. I think she cried for about a year when she thought about me. You see, I was her very first puppy ever! I still see her crying when she sees my picture on Dogster. She doesn't know how happy I am now! I was so very, very tired the day I left. But now I can run and play as much as I want! I have been gone so very long that my mom can't find any more pictures of me! That makes her feel very sad. Some day my mom will get another sweet cocker to love. Now she has a little Scottie and two cute kitties that make her happy. I would have liked to play with them. Well. I have to go run and play now! Bye!
