My husband and I (at the time weren't married, we were engaged) and we had just gotten into our OWN place. I had been waiting and waiting and waiting for a puppy and he promised whenever we got our own place we could get one. Hehe. I started looking on Craigslist.org & Petfinder for a doggie. I loveeeeeeeee labs and Brad always had liked his Aunt/Uncle lab, but our apartment complex only allows dogs up to 25 lbs (there kinda lenient) so I knew a lab woulda gotten too big, so I started looking for a lab mixed with something on the smaller size so we searched for lab mix and we found BaiLey on there (Petfinder.org) back in November 04 and at that time she was only 3 1/2 months old and she was listed as "special needs" because she had ingested a poison some what like rat poisoning before being in the care of the rescue agency. At the time they rescued her, she was only 3 weeks old and they didn't think she was going to make it, they really thought she was going to die. So from 3 1/2 weeks old ~ 3 1/2 months old she was in rehab and between that time she had a few blood transfusions. I absolutely fell in love with BaiLeys pictures and oh my god, she looked just like a little lab retriever puppy but smaller she totally had the lab face and her story and strength just captured my heart. So we sent in an application to the rescue agency and they emailed back right away and they wanted us to be BaiLeys parents ;) So BaiLey came over to have a "visit" evening with the lady from the rescue agency and oh my god the first second I saw her I fell in love. We adopted her that night for 175 bucks and we didn't let her go back that night to the rescue agency she was ours!!! Forever~
Bio:
We are heart broken but we had to put our precious adorable sweet kute loving baby BaiLey to sleep on January 2nd 06. It was the crappiest way to start our new year. We miss her so much... God this is so sad. MOMMY n DADDY LOVE U BABY BAILEY! R.I.P in Doggy heaven!
