Going on WALKS!, when Mom & Dad wake up in the morning & they rub my belly, snuggling on the couch with Mom & Dad, and rolling around in the grass while making silly faces and sounds
Pet-Peeves:
Garden hoses, taking baths, fireworks, thunder, and anytime that damn cat I live with comes nearby, especially when the cat sniffs my water bowl
Favorite Toy:
Ball for fetch, my hedgehog that grunts, Henry, my squeaky ball, and the bones I get to chew on when Mom & Dad leave the house
Favorite Food:
FRENCH FRIES, canned dog food, liver treats, crunchy vegetables, anything that Mom or Dad is eating....
Favorite Walk:
Anywhere, but I prefer anyplace outdoorsy with lots of smells to sniff & things to pee on
Best Tricks:
Sailor is so good at waiting! He can also do an excellent roll-over. Also, we're working on getting him to lick his nose on command.
Arrival Story:
We were looking for just the right dog to bring into our lives and searched and searched and saw so many dogs at so many shelters and so many dogs online that we thought we'd never find the right one. And then one day we saw this one dog online and called to ask about him and went to see him and we knew he was the one -- when we put him in our car, he knew, too, and it's been love love love ever since.
Bio:
Sailor was picked up as a stray in Tracy, CA, and spent the next 10 months on a 4-foot lead on his foster parent's rat-infested porch (!)...a sad, lonely, cold existence for such a happy, friendly, loving, warm doggy such as he. But then we came and found him through Tracy Animal Rescue and life has been all warm and full of doggy beds and blankets and belly rubs and lots of love ever since. Sailor was looking for a family to be a part of just like we were looking for him.
