Today, October 29, 2005 our beloved Yellow Dog Sam went to Rainbow Bridge. Be Free My Boy - I will always love you.

Sad Days Ahead

I just wanted everyone to know that my vet told my mom that I have lymphatic cancer. It was confirmed last Monday. My Family is very, very sad. We are trying to make the best of the time we have left. The vet told my mom she would know when the times comes for me to go to Rainbow Bridge.
When I have good days we go to the beach or the park to see my friends. I hope everyone will say a prayer for me and especially my Mom, it is very hard on her, but I know when I get to Rainbow Bridge my Nan and my buddies Griffon and Lucas will be waiting for me.

Summer Fun

Well here it is August! Me and my pals have had a great summer! We've been swimming everyday at the lake - rolling in the dirt! Just having fun! My mom says she will be happy when the cool weather comes so all the non-dog people will go away! I can't understand why some people don't like getting wet when we come out of the water and shake!!!! It's hot, the water's cool! What's the problem! And then... there is the problem of picnics - I tend to invite myself over and some people aren't that thrilled with that! Hey what's a peanut butter sandwich, or a few chips anyway! Those kids with you weren't going to eat that! Soon enough the summer days will fade to the fall, those kids will go back to school and the non-dog people will go back inside! I guess it will be a good thing.

Seals, Seals everywhere!

Well our dog group went to the beach again today! We were there for almost 3 hours! It was an awesome day! Except there was that dead seal again, well of course I had to roll in it again! My Mom was really mad at me, she calls me stinky seal boy! Then a seal must have had a baby well now you know all the stuff left over from that! Me and my buddy Jake had a wicked roll! In trouble again! I had to be put on my leash! Doesn't that just suck!~well mom finally let me run again with my buddies, but I was too busy sucking up to mom, she can't stay mad at me for long and after all tomorrow is my birthday! I will be 7 years old. I heard mom was going to get me a cake! I can't wait! Gotta run!

A Winter Walk at the Beach

We went to the beach today, me and 5 of my dog buddies. It was icy but nice. It feels so good to have the sand under our paws! Our Humans like it too. The waves were awesome today, but we didn't go in themwaves are tooooooooo cold. I might be a lab but that water is freezing! Well I rolled on a dead seal today, I thought it smelled wonderful - My mother wasn't too impressed though. We also saw a live seal basking on the rocks, Mom was freakin that I'd get to close! Chill Mom! We had a great hour and a half run. Time for Nappin now, gotta go dream about those seals!

Birthday weekend!

Well it was my mom's birthday this weekend. We all got together for a brunch at one of my "dog auntie's" house. All of the humans and dogs, we had fun! My mother was sneaking me toast from the table! (Yes, I'm spoiled & and if you read my favorite foods - you'll know one of them is bread!)

We had a great walk on the beach this weekend, even though there were two dead seals there! My mom said they smelled nasty and grabbed me just before I rolled on one of them! Personally, I thought it smelled pretty good! You know that beautiful smell drives the girls wild, but mom wasn't into the drive with the windows down trip home! (That happened once before in the dead of winter - only it was fox doo doo! Mom said that burned her eyes!) Humans!

We have our Beach Back!!!!

Today we went back to Rainbow Haven Beach for the first time since summer began. Yeah, the non-dog people have gone!!! We have our beach back. We had fun. The weather was a little dismal, that makes our moms a little unhappy, but they survived!
