Oh What Fun!

Today my mom and dad took me and my sister Vega to the beach! It was so much fun running in the sand and chasing the sea gulls. This was my first time on the beach - mom and dad say that it's pretty sad that we live so close to the shore and that I just now got to go. But I understand - mommy and daddy have been doing a lot of renovations on our house, so they haven't had the time...until now! Of course, since it's a public beach, I had to stay on my leash, but I still had a great time. And we even drove out onto the beach...can you believe it! We walked along the end of the island where the water comes in from the sea...I was having a great time until I fell into the water where there's a drop off. Good thing I had my leash on because I started to swim the wrong way and dad had to pull me back on shore! Vega and I thoroughly wore ouselves out! I don't think Vega enjoyed the water as much as I did...but she did try to drink it! Silly girl! Well, I'm pooped so I think I will take me a long nap...Vega's looking pretty sleepy too! Goodnight!

Go Liam! It's my birthday!

So I thought it would be fitting to "paw" my first diary entry on my 1 year birthday - seeing as how I think I am a big boy now...that is until I hear that vaccum cleaner start up! So, I am officially one year old...hmm, how the time flies when you're having fun (fun chewing up my mom's slippers, fun chewing up the newspaper, fun wrestling with my sister, fun chasing the cats...all sorts of fun)

The weather change has been a nice treat for my birthday...being here on the coast of NC, the weather is very unpredictable. Up until yesterday, temperatures have been in the upper 70's and 80's...it's felt more like spring and summer than fall! But today I woke up to a nice chilly 28 degrees! Of course, with my thick coat, I'm sure to stay warm when I'm outside playing. My mom loves the colder weather too, but I don't think dad's liking it too much!

I'm wondering what treats mom will have for me for my birthday. My sister Vega got "frosted" cookies for her birthday...of course, I got to share and boy were they yummy! I hope mom brings more of those home! And of course, a new toy to "destuff" wouldn't be so bad. Well, I am off to enjoy the rest of my birthday! Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me..............
