Quick Bio:

It's hard to choose. He seems to love everything but FOOD is surely near the top.

Having to eat breakfast in the rain.

Favorite Toy:
Anything chewable.

Favorite Food:
Much easier to list what he doesn't like: bananas, apples, peach pits.

Favorite Walk:
On the beach or thru the woods.

Arrival Story:
I found Sky while on a 10-day visit to close friends in Skiatook, OK, a rural area. He was the second stray puppy to arrive during my visit and he showed up the morning of my departure date. He looked like a little spotted piglet as he eagerly rooted about the front porch. There was something irresistible about him. I couldn't stand the idea of him being relegated to a shelter so Diane and I ran around, getting him bathed (and 300 ticks removed!), inspected by a vet (good health; appx 10 weeks old) and outfitted for the plane ride back to NYC. I guess I wanted to take a piece of Oklahoma back to Brooklyn. He was extremely well-behaved every step of the way and continues to remain very well-mannered if occasionally over-exuberant. We were met at LaGuardia by our good friend Raymond, a Sky skeptic who was immediately won over. Being an unusual-looking but extremely handsome ACD, Sky inspires near-universal curiosity and comment but wins friends and influences people (and dogs) wherever he goes! Wonderfully good-natured and affectionate, he remains irresistible!

Sky remains the best dog in the whole world! I love him and love quality time with my dog. My darling baby dog died on Monday, June 28, 2009. His decline came without warning and, altho, he was 12, he was stillvery much a puppy at heart and in bearing. I will always love and miss the beautiful and noble Sky Blue of the OSage Hills.

I'm so excited: Diane is coming to visit soon. It's been a looooong time but she is one of my favorite people. It was at her house, in Oklahoma, that I was found one hot day in 1997. In fact, it was Diane's birthday! And she knew just what to do to get me ready for my airplane flight to....Brooklyn, NY!...with Cyn.

She and Cyn "brainstormed" my name while driving me to my various "appointments" that day. Sky for Skiatook (the town where I was found), Blue for my merle; Osage Hils for the beautiful are of Oklahoma that is my native home. I still have my Cherokee alphabet collar, bought the day I was found.

Thank you, Diane! I can't wag enought to see you!

woof! woof! woof!
