HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

I am now ONE! Mommy bought stuff to make me a birthday cake - with wheat and gluten free flour! And she got me a party hat (which I'm not too thrilled about). She says she's going to take me to the dog park, then a walk on the beach (maybe!) and some baking time for meeee!! She also tells me she got me a special dinner, so we'll see what it is! YAY!!

Allergies!

So after going to the vet, they decided that I must have some sort of allergy. Either food or environmental, so mommy's putting me on a restricted diet of JUST my dog food, no treats except for pure chicken disks and jerky. They gave me antihistimine and I'm currently passed out right now from it! They wanted to do some expensive tests on me, but mommy didn't want to do that just yet. She's going to try a diet through a process of elimination and some antihistimines. Hopefully it'll make me itch less and feel better! :) They also wanted to feed me Hill's Prescription Diet Z/D, which listed STARCH as it's first ingredient! Mom was appauled. How could they allow such a diet for ANYONE? She's going to figure out what's wrong with my allergies on her own!

VET!

Mommy says she's taking me to the vet tomorrow! Normally pets hate the vet, but I love meeting all the other doggies and being petted and paid attention to! Mommy's taking me because I itch a lot (especially under my chin) and my eyes get goopy. She also figured that I needed to get checked for heartowrms again so I can go an preventative. Plus mommy's noticed my stool has been a little soft lately, so they're probably going to do a fecal exam. Mommy's scared of the bill though - she took Moochie in today and it was more than she expected. But she says if it keeps us healthy! :)

The Escape Artist!

This morning was an interesting one! I woke up before mommy did and got off the bed - and went out to the patio. When I came back, I didn't jump back on the bed - which made my mommy wonder why briefly, but she fell back asleep. Next, she heard a little bell sound, and thought "Is Gromit playing with Mooch's toys?" And looked at the end of the bed and to her very big surprise - she saw me AND MOOCH playing! Mooch got out the kitchen! He climbed over the gate and found me and we were gently playing on the floor. Mom thought it was hillarious, but decided it was time for Mooch to move to another spot.

We're bonding more day by day, mommy leaves us in the office with her and lets us play and Mooch explores the room. Mooch likes to paw at my face and paws, but his claws hurt! I don't think I like it too much, but I sure like Mooch. :)

All wet!

Mommy took me to the dog beach today! We romped and romped with each other and other dogs - it was so much fun! And for the first time, I went all the way into the water! The last times we have been to the beach - I usually walk in shallow water up to my knees, and then run when a wave comes. Today, there were two dogs there that were all the way in the water playing with each other, and they looked like they were having so much fun! So I wanted to join in! At the beach, there's a little "stream" off the ocean that is calmer water, but still has a current. I went down into the stream gently, and went along the edge of the water, running when a wave came. But I wanted to get to the other dogs! So I went even further! Eventually, I got my whole body wet - and I wasn't quite so afraid of the waves anymore. Mommy wanted to go on the other side of the stream and found a fairly shallow spot for me to walk across (I can't really swim in the ocean just yet!) and we got all the way across and mommy was so proud! We played and romped in the water - mommy walked in the water and I ran and bounced. I LOVED it! We even got to climb on the rocks on the cliff!

I've never had so much fun in the water before, let alone the ocean!

Mommy's been spending lots of quality time with me because of the kitten. His name is Mooch and mommy's about to make him a temporary page cause he's just so cute! Plus mommy and daddy still don't know if they are going to keep him just yet. He's fun - he loves to run around the living room - I try to chase him, but mommy makes me stop and tells me to be gentle with the kitty. I love to give him kisses on his whole face. :)

A what?

This weekend has been crazy! Mommy and daddy's friends came over and they had THREE kittens with them! They stayed for three days, and left today, but for some reason, ONE kitten has stayed behind! But why?!

I think mommy and daddy are thinking about keeping it - that little thing that swipes at my nose?! Sure, he's cute, I guess.

I'm sad though, will mommy and daddy give me less love?? So far mommy has given me lots of treats and praise, and tells me I'm number one. Plus she told me she can't take the kitty out on walks or to the beach! Today we took a nice long walk, too.

Ohh... I don't know about the kitty! But I'll guess we'll see what happens!

A new bowl!

Mommy made me a new bowl the other day! It's so spiffy!

New doggie tag!

It's been a while since mommy's "pampered" me, and got me a new doggie tag today! She's been meaning to - ever since we moved and got new phone numbers! Mommy got me a blue bone tag with my name in pretty letters in the front, and then two numbers and "has microchip" on the back. So if I get lost there are many ways to have me returned to mommy and daddy! Yay. :) Mommy gets scared of the thought of me getting lost somehow. She loves me too much!

Beach Day!

Mommy and I went to the beach today! It's the first time that she's gotten to take me out on a walk on the beach - just me and her - since we've moved! We only live 5 minutes away from the beach now, so it makes it much easier! Mommy took a photo with her polaroid too - it's now my main image!

Yesterday mommy gave me a much needed haircut! It took an hour and a half, but mommy, daddy, and I were all much happier! I'm a lot more calm everytime I get my haircut - plus I look so pretty! Oh wait - I'm a boy.

We've Moved!

Wow, so much has happened the past few weeks! We have all moved to a new place! It's soooo much nicer - lots more space and there are SO many other little dogs in the neighborhood! I finally learned how to go up and down stairs thanks to mommy and daddy's friend who watched me when they were visiting family up north. She had stairs and I learned how to go up! It wasn't until daddy guided me down the stairs that I finally can go down without fear now! This makes things easier for mommy when taking me out to go potty now - cause she doesn't have to carry me up and down the stairs now. The bad thing is that if they don't watch me, I still BOLT out the door - one time daddy opened the door and I RAN out, straight down the stairs and into the street! Daddy came running after me and caught me, but it was bad - I could've been ran over by a car! Mommy is starting to retrain me to not run out the door unless I've been given the okay.

Now we're closer to the dog beach, and there's this fun doggie bakery that sells dog treats that look like hamburgers and fries! Mommy found it so funny that she bought it for me, but wants to take a picture of it first.
