Lassie, the neighborhood dog (although she's beginning to grow on us); being watched as I eat; the vacuum cleaner and hand vac; baths; bicyclists; motorcycles and anything fast and loud

My portfolio of kong toys- sometimes it's the red one, other days it's the blue, then again I also like the green one... yeah, I am moody!
Favorite Food:
Mom and Dad's food, peanut butter, crackers- especially Goldfish, Greenies... I am kinda getting into sushi (love a mean piece of tuna) but still love my crunchy treats!
Favorite Walk:
Ocean Beach on a clear day... I like to start out on the beach and hurdle a few surfers to catch some waves, then dry out on the street path where I can turn the 'walk' into a 'sprint' if I haven't wore out Mom and Dad (they need to kick up the cardio!)
Best Tricks:
Getting Mom and Dad to sit and stay, however I am getting better at consenting to their commands as well. I can do it all but depends on my mood. =)
Arrival Story:
I was hanging out in Noe Valley with my buds at Rocket Dog Rescue when this lovely couple passed by... I locked eyes with the lady and it was love at first sight! I knew she was going to be my new Mommy and we connected instantly... all I had to do was turn on the ol' Jersey charm and I knew I had her! They took me home that day and life couldn't be better!

Mom and I went on our usual daily walk and stopped in the local pet store along the way. I noticed she's been taking me over to puppy section instead of the treat aisles first. This past weekend, this black thing with kinky hair Mom ooooed and ahhhed over that wouldn't stop jumping for our attention took a walk with us. I should have known something was up. That 'thing with kinky air' now lives with us! This is huge problem! I don't like sharing. My toys, food, treats, couch, pillow, bed, sofa, tree, yard, rug are all off-limits! Everything is off-limits, even Mom and Dad. She won't leave me alone. If I keep scaring her away maybe she'll be gone for good soon! It might take some time though; she's not as dumb as she looks. More later. Gotta hide my treats!

Nearly three years ago we adopted Jersey, formerly known as Igby, from Paley of Rocket Dog Rescue. My husband is allergic to dander and dog hair so the first few weeks were rough on him. Adopting a dog was part of a deal he and I had so he toughed it out hoping allergy medication would work. Luckily with time, the symptoms gradually disappeared and we didn't need bring him back to Paley. But by then, I doubt that would've been an option anyhow. He'd won us over; Jersey would be a permanent family member.
We recently moved to Tokyo. Not bringing him along was not an option. We put off the move for as long as we could to limit the remaining quarantine period he'd have to fulfill in the quarantine facilities in Narita. He's been there for several months. His last day was yesterday. We're all happy to be together again.

I flew from San Francisco to Tokyo in July and spent the past several months in qurantine. Today is my last day and I get to go home to be with my family! I'm excited to see my new house and make my mark in the hood!
