Arrival Story:
We wanted to adopt a new puppy for our other dog Sarge. We went to the Tulsa Humane Society and was hoping to see puppies there. They had 4 american bulldog puppies, all siblings. Chief was the only male and he clearly stood out. We took him into a room to play, he was just so much fun, we wanted to adopt him immediately. We had to wait to be approved unfortunately but they called us within the hour to say we could pick him up tomorrow as soon as they open! He is such a wonderful, loving, kind and joyous dog - I couldn't imagine my life without him.

I've had many a dog, but never had one quite like Chief. From the minute I took him home, he knew who his Mommy was. There's nothing more joyous than when he follows me around the house and doesn't care what room he's in or what he's laying on, as long has he's right by my side. I love to be with him as much as he loves to be with me. I hate leaving to go to work, he stands at the door as I close it, I'm sure asking "why aren't you taking me?" It breaks my heart. But when I return, how excited we both are to be together again. Chief literally jumps up and down on all fours, hopping around the living room, getting every toy he has known to man - with his suggestion "LET'S PLAY!" How could anyone live without a dog?!

Happy Birthday Gangsta Tief!

I still remember the day we brought you home, 4 years ago! It only seemed like yesterday, but you are so much a part of our lives - we'd be incomplete without you.

Today we will celebrate, you'll get a puppy ice cream cake. I'll try my best to explain your happy day to you.

We love you Chief. Happy 4th Birthday :)

Life can be so SWEET! I'm in the best family, with the best people, in the best home, with great food, lots and lots of toys, go to a great day camp and with lots of love from my family! I feel like such a special pup, I can't even tell you.

What's even better is my Mom tells me she's going to fence in our big backyard just for me, so I can run and jump and play and not get lost (even though I listen to her really good when she lets me outside off leash).

OHHHHHHHH, life is so good...

Three in a row

Could it be? Three times now, I was home by myself and didn't chew a thing. Well honestly nothing looked appetizing, but let's just call it behaving!

I'm even starting to get proud of myself. But in my defense I was so tired from playing all day with my friends at camp, I just slept until my Mom got home.

Another check for me in the books.
