I adopted Bubba from the pound when he was ~6 months old on August 17, 1995. My mother saw him on TV, and the next day we adopted him.

Bubba's original owners left him at the pound when they moved. When I adopted Bubba, the lady asked if I wanted to change his name. I said "Why? He is and always will be my Bubba!"

Bubba passed away on May 3, 2006. He was ~ 11.5 years old and 106 pounds. He had a tumor (cancer) on his spleen that ruptured causing his belly to fill with blood and he was in shock. His death was peaceful due to euthanasia. I will miss him everyday of my life. I love my Bubba.

Mommy gave me another bath yesterday with my special seborrhea shampoo. She scrubbed and rubbed me. The water wasn't too hot or too cold, it was just right.

Mommy took extra care to make sure nothing got in my eyes or in my ears. I got mommy very wet when I shook the water off my body (ha-ha). Afterwards, mommy and grandma rubbed me with towels until I was dry. Mommy still calls me her little stinkleweed.

Many (if not all) of you reading my diary probably think that all I want is COOKIES. Well it is true - I LOVE COOKIES! I WANT COOKIES! I NEVER GET ENOUGH COKIES! GIMME COOKIES! GIMME COOKIES! GIMME COOKIES!

Grandma is very tired today from her Friday chemotherapy treatment, please include her in your prayers.

Manicure and Pedicure time (once again)

Saturday, mommy took me to have my nails clipped at my doctor’s office. My nails grow really fast. While waiting, I saw two girl puppies, and said “hello”. Both were so cute, but not as cute as Hope.

Nina took me to the back room and clipped my nails. I don’t have thumbs, so she only had to clip 16 nails. I wiggled a lot as I always do. When it was over, Nina took me into the room with the scale. I weighed 105.3 pounds. Mommy likes to know how much I weigh because I may have Cushings. Right now, the only symptom that I have is seborrhea with black flakey skin. This is why mommy gives me a bath every other Sunday. After I was weighed, mommy and I went home. Then mommy gave Hope and me some cookies. I love cookies!
