Arrival Story: Mommy adopted me from Helen Woodward's Animal Center (a no kill shelter) at ~ 5 months of age. They rescued me from a high kill shelter in Tucson Arizona. Prior to that I was in Washington DC. I think that they wanted me to either be a bomb dog or a drug dog, but I'm way too sweet for either job, and glad that I didn't have what was needed. I lived in three states before I was 6 months old.
From mommy: Hope has never growled or shown teeth (unless she is sleeping upside down). She is an excellent watchdog, very sweet, and she is super alert. Sometimes, I think she is made from rubber bands and springs.
Bio: From mommy: Hope had a very bad UTI with crystals when I adopted her. She was on several antibiotics for months before the UTI went away. She probably spent most of her earlier days in a crate holding her pee. Now she eats only Science Diet CD dry and is doing very well.

Yes, today I am six years old. So far mommy has given me lots of my cookies and one yummy large Twistix stick. I am so lucky. But, I could always eat more cookies (hint hint mommy) - LOL
After only 3 weeks mommy lost her new job. Money and that naughty 'conomy are to blame. Mommy says it won't affect my cookie supply (whew). Mommy is sad again, BUT I am so very very very happy to have mommy all to my self all of the time.
Oh, my 6th birthday is coming up (November 3rd to be exact) - HINT HINT.
After 25 months of being with me 24 - 7, mommy finally got a job.
Mommy lost her past job due to the naughty "conomy". Now mommy can buy me whatever I want - yay me.
