I love to play, chase balls, play tug of war and lay on my mommy and daddy. I also like to steal food off the counter and out of the trash. I also love a good belly rub.

NEVER touch my feet. And I hate intense conversations, thunderstorms and loud toys.

Stuffed animal 'babies', bones, ball that rolls around and food falls out

Anything in the "trash buffet", grapes, meat fat, cheese.
Favorite Walk:
Woods. Anywhere with a creek.
Best Tricks:
I close all the doors in the house as soon as anyone opens them. Our house is very secure.
Arrival Story:
My mommy and daddy looked all over for a dog. They checked pounds and kennels for weeks. They came in the mall store and saw me sleeping and fell in love with me. When they asked the clerk if they could see me, the clerk refused, saying it was my naptime. But she didn't know how much my mommy and daddy wanted me. They insisted on seeing me-- and took me home that night!

I am an 80 pound lap dog! I love to lay on laps and sleep in bed with my mommy and daddy. I also like to make sure that if my sister Daisy is getting any attention, I stop that right away!

Our dear Max passed away Saturday, August 14. He had such a happy life and added so much to our lives. We're looking forward to seeing him again one day, waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge. We love you Max.

I just wanted to update all of you who sent kind wishes about Max and his blindness. I honestly was afraid between that and his hips, he wouldn't make it through the winter-- but he's here and better than ever! It's a good thing that laboradors don't have any nerve endings in their heads, because he bumps into things all over the house and just keeps wagging his tail and doing whatever he needs to do. Frankly, he's an inspiration. Humans get so bogged down when bad things happen-- but not dogs! They just take it in stride and do whatever they need to do to keep going. Again, thank you all for your well wishes!
