Arrival Story:
Hank came to me from Iowa, where he was likely bred by a puppy mill. He arrived in Florida, where the pet store he lived at was destroyed during one of the devastating hurricanes of 2004. He was moved to saftey in St. Pete where I found him. He sat in the store waiting for me for three months in his cage. He was very sad, never lifting his giant ears, people thinking he was sick or diseased because he had no hair. When I saw him all the other dogs were barking hysterically, except him, he just stared at me and sat there. Now that he is with me, he is in great health, a real athletic little guy, and very spoiled and happy! He loves everyone and I am so glad we have him! I love him so much he inspired me to help other pups like him in rescue.

Bio:
When I first got Hank, he had never been outside in his life; you can tell this by his washed out spots- some of the pictures look like two different dogs. After a few months of walks and trips to the park, good food and care, his true colors finally came out! He has a great personality and loves everyone. It still kills me that he spent most of his "puppyhood" locked up in a cage and uncared for. Please research any breeder you plan to buy from, or better yet, support your local shelters, DO NOT BUY from petstores!
