Arrival Story:
He was brought to us by this little boy on a very cold and rainy December night. He was trying to find his owners, but there were none to be f ound. On this little boy's second trip to the house, he informed me that if he didn't find a home for this precious pup, they were going to have to take him to the local dog shelter. My eight year old (now 23), was just strictened by the thought of that baby being put down, SO.....we taped a note to my husband's truck window. We promised to maintain all expenses, etc. for this pup and so my hubby gave in.

Bio:
My Dodger passed away while I was attending my son's baseball tournament in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Dodger was getting on in years and I should have never boarded him but I had no one to care for him here at home because all my family was in Florida with me and well, I felt I had no other choice. The kennel that I left him with was wonderful. Matter of fact, I work for them now and have for the past 4 years. They really love their little furry guests. I think (I pray) that it was Dodger's will to pass over the bridge quietly without hurting me. They said that he looked as if he had laid down and went to sleep, very peaceful. He would have never wanted me to see him leave. He was smart. I don't think I could have stood it. It's been 5 years and 4 months since he has left me, but I will always hurt, but I know that one day, I, too, will cross over that bridge and he will be there to greet me. It was Dodger that told me to pull myself together and find me another percious puppy soul that needed a forever and loving home. He said it would be unfair if I didn't find this pup that needed me as much I would need him. I may be nuts, but I truly believe this.......He will always be with me in spirit.
