Arrival Story:
Koko's first parents (my husband's aunt & uncle) were moving to Germany and didn't want to put her through the trauma of being quarrantined for six months. We agreed to adopt her on the spot! She has been with us since she was 2 1/2 years old. She was so sad when her mom & dad left--she moped around for about a week. Once she got settled in, she LOVED living with us and her two new sisters. She had never been swimming before she came to live with us (it's true!), so we introduced her to the river and now she can't get enough of it!

Bio:
Koko can jump like you wouldn't believe--we think she must be part gazelle or something! She can jump our 5 ft. fence without even getting a running start! Luckily she likes it in the yard with her two sisters, so she doesn't do it much. Koko loves it when we do yard work because then she can follow us around and help. Her favorite way to help is by chasing the lawnmower. She is happiest when she is with us. Koko is also a little pot-stirrer. She picks fights with Riley when she is in a grumpy mood, and will randomly bowl over Maggie, just to be ornery. Then she turns around and is about as lovey as can be. I guess every girl is entitled to a few mood swings now and then. Koko came to us thinking she was going to be the "top dog" in the family, but Riley had other ideas! After a couple of pretty scary fights, Koko accepted the fact that she was #2, but the title has switched hands a few times since then, and now Koko is now back to being the leader of the pack. :-) **We lost Koko on 3/14/07. It was the saddest day of our lives. She was the most vibrant of our three labs, and loved her life with us. We can't believe that we will never see her smiling, waggling self again. We are devastated and don't know how we will carry on without her. Please say a prayer for her.
