   Leave a bone for Maggie

Magnolia, Magazine, Magnatron, Angel Face, Wednesday, Blair Witch, Princess Moonbeam (don't ask!), Moonie

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

May 19th 1993

Maggie likes to swim in the river, chase bees in the back yard, have her whole face rubbed, take sun naps, and most of left alone by her obnoxious sisters!

Giving or getting kisses; anyone in her personal space; having her toes touched

Favorite Toy:
An empty bottle of Mountain Dew

Favorite Food:
Plums, daisy heads, grass, and cat poop.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere, as long as it's OUT!

Best Tricks:
Pretending to be invisible, and pretend snoring to make us think she's sleeping, even though her eyes are wide open! She is also EXCELLENT at sitting pretty and giving high-fives, although these are probably not her favorite things to do.

Arrival Story:
Maggie was given to me by a co-worker. They called me when the puppies were being born, so I raced over to see them. Maggie was the last one out (the runt!), and she plopped out as her momma was walking across the deck. I didn't know I would choose her at the time. When it came time to pick, Maggie came right over to my feet, sat right in front of me, and stared at me until I picked her up. She licked & licked my face until I agreed to take her!

Maggie is just a sweetheart all the way around. She is a very docile, submissive lab, who only wants to be loved and allowed to sleep on the couch. When she was younger she had a lot more energy and frisk, but now she is content to just bask in the sun and relax. We have recently discovered that Maggie has lost most (maybe all) of her hearing, which makes us sad, but she doesn't seem to be bothered by it. She just takes her cues from her crazy sisters, who let her know when it's time to eat or when someone is at the house. **We lost our beloved Maggie on Father's Day, June 17, 2007. She had lived as long and as well as she possibly could, and our lives have been fuller and richer because she was with us. She has left a huge hole in our hearts.

I've been on Dogster for over a year now, and I've only been corralled ONCE! What's wrong with me?? Even my spastic sisters have been corralled more than me, and they are the biggest dorks on the planet! I suppose that to make a friend you have to BE a friend, but I'm so shy and timid that it's hard for me to be social. I wish there was another sweet old lab out there who would corral me and be content to just lay in the cybergrass and share lazy side-glances with me. I would even like to be friends with a cute little kitten--they are so sweet and soft. Maybe my momma will get off her butt and go corral some friends for me. I think I'll take a nap while I'm waiting.
