Arrival Story: Hazel was a birthday present for my husband. We did alot of research and wanted a beagle! We found a pet store nearby (at a mall, what were we thinking?!) and they had two beagles, both on "sale". We saw Hazel sitting there in this pathetic cage, behind the glass barrier wall while all these people were googly eyeing them thru the glass. She was so cute and all gray colored as a puppy. She had HUGE ears for her size head, and stubby crooked little legs. She was sitting on the other beagle in the cage's head. lol. Story of her life, she has a badonkadonk lol. We learned that Hazel was from a puppy mill, and the pet store was later shut down. She had front leg deformaties, but these BIG doe eyes. Our total $ at checkout for Hazel, a toy, and a cage, for $666.00. How crazy right?? When she got home, we could tell she was mistreated in her mere 8 weeks on this earth. She did not want to cuddle or have any contact...she was neurotic to a point. We knew after a short time that Hazel needed a buddy dog to show her how to relax and BE A DOG! That is when we starting looking to adopt or rescue another dog for Hazel, leading us to find Hank...Hank helped Hazel grow to learn how to relax, how to love again!!! She is a very loving, smart dog who loves to play Fetch!! She doesn't look like she can run, and people always think she is old and slow, but big girl can RUN, and fast. She fetches the best out of our 3 dogs, she also SNORES and GRUNTS the loudest out of the 3 dogs. Oh Hazel, you're so cute.
Bio: Hazel loves going to the dog park and playing fetch. Sleeping, eating, walking, snoring, did I mention eating?, playing fetch, sleeping, drinking, eating, begging. She is on a very timed schedule, she lets me know when it's meal time, on time, every time. She is a very relaxed, routine kind of girl.
