Arrival Story: I already had Shasta and wanted to get her a playmate. This time I wanted to rescue a dog instead of getting one from a breeder. I searched on-line and found Joey at cuddlycanines.com. He was one of 12 pups born to a German Shepherd mother. We thought Joey was a Shepherd/Boxer mix who wouldn't get any bigger than 65 pounds. Well, we were wrong; Joey is 75 pounds at 10 months. We weren't sure we would keep Joey b/c he is very whiney, but he just melts your heart with how cute he is. Joey is really grateful to have a loving home and will lick wet spots into your clothes while giving you endless kisses. Bio: Joey cannot stand to be away from his sister, Shasta. He is completely in love with her. She feels the same way, but she was the only child for a few months. So, she does not get upset if she has to leave Joey for short periods of time.
