Tennis balls, playing fetch, Belly rubs, running with her human, and did I mention playing fetch?
Being home alone, getting her nails clipped, baths
ANY BALL...stuffed toys to tear a part..
Food? Believe it or not...food is secondary to her game of fetch! But, she will run to our dog park's infamous dog treat lady, Lula, for a treat...only after she had a couple of rounds of fetch!
Crissy Fields...any walk that allows her to have a ball in her mouth.
Jumping 5 feet high to catch a ball and playing keep away from humans and dogs alike.
Maya came into my life because I was out with a friend to just “look” at dogs. I ended up at a Pet Mobile sponsored by a rescue agency called Milo Foundation (www.milofoundation.com). There were a bunch of cute pups ready for adoption. Maya was the only pup sleeping. I picked her up and she woke up for a brief moment to stare at me. At that moment, she worked her Jedi mind tricks on me and I fell in love with her. Once she knew her task was done, she closed her eyes and fell asleep in my arms and I couldn’t let her go.
I thought she would be the mellow one of the bunch because she was the only pup sleeping. But, boy was I fooled! She is a crazy energetic hyper dog that doesn’t even know when she is tired herself. She is a smartie pants that loves affection and kisses.
Milo Foundation rescued Maya after she was dumped at the Mendocino Shelter with her littermates when she was 6 weeks old.
Just recently found out that Maya has epilepsy. Two grand mal seizures so far...Such a scarey thing to experience!
"Throw the damn ball!"
