I was looking to adopt a dog and happened to walk into a pet store on my lunch hour...not the typical 'doggie in the window' pet store....this one really was a pet supply store. The owner happened to be doing a friend a favor and had the two cutest Chi puppies...she had only got them the night before. I had said NO puppies and one dog! But Cheech stole my heart....then Chong gave my those eyes..how could I break them up? So I left the store with two 9 week old puppies, lots of toys, a kennel, etc.....I am so glad I got the two of them because they have each other to play with when I am at work.

I can't believe it is one year today that Cheech and Chong were brutally attacked! It's been one heck of a year and a life changing experience. Life as I knew will never be again.
We are now living in Palo Alto - we spend a lot of time with our grandparents who spoil the pups rotten and only live a half mile from us! They have a huge backyard where the boys chase the squirrels and birds - they are positive they will catch one someday!
Since the attack Cheech and Chong have been trying t0 get better day by day. Unfortunately, their personalities will never be the same...but mom still loves them and puts up with their outbursts and special needs. Chong still gets winded from the lung damage...but hey - I'll take that any day over him not being here at all!
I bought them a new stroller to celebrate the fact that I still can't believe they are here with me one year later! Since Chong was not supposed to pull through.....I bless each day with them now! BTW - They love it! See the pics I posted!

Thank you to everyone for your love and support. We are not yet 100% after the attack - BUT - we are doing much better.
Our grandparents are helping mom take very good care of us. We both lost a lot of weight, but are starting to gain some back.
We have begun going on walks again ... short ones as Chong cannot got to far with his lung trauma ... but little by little we'll get there!
We are moving out of SF as too many dogs are off leash and we are afraid we will get attacked again! But, we'll be closer to family who we know love to have us over for visits!
Thanks again for everyone's well wishes! We needed it!

PLEASE think good thoughts for us! We were attacked on Saturday by a large lab/sheppard mix in our building in SF. Mom was taking us for a walk, and a neighbors dog bolted out of her apt and attacked us both. We are fighting to get well. Chong has very sever injuries to his chest cavity, lungs and liver. Cheech is in better shape and looks like he will make a full recovery. We need all the friends we can get right now!
Please send your prayers for our full recovery.
