Arrival Story:
I would like to share my story of Billy, he was a rescue dog I rehomed on 28th December 04, I was told by the lady who was looking after him he was 5 years old, his owners had moved to Rhodes, had taken him with them, but he couldn't settle there, he had been brought back here, advertised in a shop, then a man took him in, and he in turn left him with this lovely lady who was looking after him well, but nonetheless he was being kept in a stable all alone. When I first saw Billy I fell in love with him and brought him home, he settled in very quickly and became part of our family, he was well trained, obedient and very, very loyal, he followed me everywhere, he adored me and I adored him. Billy was microchipped, so I changed the ownership details, and found out then that he was not 5 years old, but 9 or 10, as his year of birth was 1995, hence he also became known as Old Bill. Even so, he was very fit for his age and loved his walks so much, that was the only problem I had with him, when he knew it was time for his walk, he got so exited, barking and whining, it drove me mad, but how I would love to hear that racket now! I lost Billy on the 19th June 05, only having had the pleasure of him for five and a half months, he died of bloat/twisted stomach, there was nothing the vet could have done for him, it happened so quickly and suddenly, he died in the car outside the vets. I now have my Billy / Little Bill who was born on the day Billy died, and I love that little chap so much, he's a great little pup, but I will never get over the loss of my beautiful Old Bill, I know it's strange, but I feel him around me all the time - I love you and miss you Billy, always will xxx This may sound silly, but I miss him so much and it's so lovely to be able to give him a bone every day, and I will give him a bone every day from now on, I love you Bill xxx

Bio:
Thank you everyone who wants to be Billy's friend, he was such a special boy, and it's lovely to think he's got so many lovely friends, and I can give him a bone every day too, makes me feel a bit happier, thanks again, Tracy
