Bio:
After looking at a lot of photos on the Internet, we have come to the conclusion that Bucky is either a Pekingese mix or possibly a very badly bred purebred.

Well, I ended up at the kennel all weekend while Mom & Dad were in New York. But it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I didn’t even give Dad a hard time when he dropped me off Thursday night. I got my own little room with a small bed to jump up on and a TV to keep me company. Yesterday afternoon the humans at the kennel gave me a “going-home bath,” but I didn’t mind too much because I knew it meant Mom & Dad would be coming to get me soon.

I was very glad to be home, although I don’t think Kitty Kitty Bang Bang was too thrilled to see me. I think she likes being the “top dog” in the house when I’m not around! Mom & Dad brought me a stuffed bone with a squeaker in it as a present. They said they missed me so much and were so happy to see me, so I guess all in all the weekend wasn’t so awful!

Oh, no! Last night as I was lying on my binky on the couch, chewing my rawhide bone, I saw Mom get out my blue tote bag. Then she started writing on some cans of my food, and putting my dry food into 3 separate bags. She counted out some allergy pills and put them in the bag, too.

I remember what happened the last time she did this…I ended up at the boarding kennel! Come to think of it, Mom & Dad have been talking about “the trip” a lot lately, but until last night I just assumed I was going with them. I’ve been to Atlanta in the car and we go to Michigan fairly often (Mom & Dad grew up in the Detroit area). But I heard “New York” and “Brooklyn” mentioned, and now I think those are places they have to get to on an airplane – which means I can’t come! Help!

I met some new humans last night. When Mom & Dad came home from work and took me out to do my business, a whole group of kids wearing weird outfits came up to me and said I was very cute! I let them pet me and Mom told them my name, so when they left they all said, “Good-bye, Bucky!”

Dad said they were trick-or-treaters, and I guess more of them were supposed to come to our townhouse to get some candy, but not that many kids were out & about in the apartment complex where we live. Mom & Dad had a bunch of candy left over, but they won’t let me have any because chocolate is dangerous for dogs to eat. I think they just made that up so they can have all the Snickers to themselves!
