Confessions of a Spotted Dog

Finally I've gotten the press I deserve. I went to PGE park for the "Bark in the Park" - a baseball game that dogs get to go to. I had a good time, especially watching the food vendor walking up and down the aisle with the cracker-jacks and cotton candy. The real highlight of the day was actually after the game, however. I was laying on the couch as usual while Mom and Dad watched the evening news, and can you guess who made their TV debut during the sports segment? Me and my sister Happy! I have to admit, I'm glad I wore my pink sweater. You never know when you might get your picture taken so I try to look my best at all times. It's so hard being beautiful. Oh, and our team won, too!
I'm a Beauty QueenMay 12th 2007 6:36 pm[ Leave A Comment ] I went with my family today to the Oregon Humane Society's annual fundraiser, the "Doggie Dash," and I won third place in the "best dressed dog" contest! Finally, I get some recognition for being beautiful! I wore my pink hoodie, a hot pink party collar, and some doggles sunglasses. Hey, it's not easy being a diva!
Mom says I'm getting "round"...March 3rd 2006 12:16 am[ Leave A Comment ]
Not that I really care, but Mom thinks I'm getting fat! I told her it's just that I packed a few pounds on for winter, but she thinks it's more than that. Now she is constantly trying to get me to excersize, and she even had the nerve to put me on a diet! And I have to admit, in retaliation I figured out how to open my food bin and I've been sneaking snacks while she's at work. It would have worked if I had figured out how to close the bin afterwards... it's kinda obvious that I was in trouble when she came home and the bin was open, knocked over, and of course... empty. Okay, maybe I do have a "problem." I can't help it, I love food like Happy loves tennis balls! If only I could get to the treat jar on top of the refrigerator...

As the day draws to a close, I am getting very excited. Mom has explained this to me: in the morning we are going on a very long car-ride. We're going to drive for four hours to go pick up my new foster brother, Duke. I was relieved to learn that Duke is another Dalmatian, like myself, and not a herding breed like my sister Happy (because who needs two herders in the house telling you where to go and nipping at your heels?) Mom says that Duke will be staying with us until he can find his forever home. I remember what it's like to be in Duke's position, so I'm going to be very nice to him. Besides, it will be nice to have another Dalmatian in the house, someone who relates to me. By this time tomorrow, he will be here. :)

The good news: it snowed today and Mom and Dad took me to the park to play in it (with my sweater, of course). The bad news: I slipped in the snow on the walkway and sprained my shoulder :( I guess it could be worse, and Mom hasn't pampered me this much since I bruised a lung! I think I'm just going to limp around the house and pout for the rest of the evening. Maybe if I whimper a little more Mom will give me another greenie... Oh well, playtime was fun while it lasted. I got to roll on my back in the snow drifts, making snow angels Lola-style. Till next time,

Well, today hasn't been the best day. I guess I just couldn't keep myself out of trouble! My sister Happy found a way out of the yard, so I followed her out into the neighbor's yard... then I saw their cat. I chased that cat as fast as my spotted paws would take me! I couldn't catch up with the cat, but I noticed that one of our other neighbors had their door open, so I went right in and introduced myself! Dad came and found me, though, and took me back home. Then he and Mom went to go apologize to the neighbor (I don't know why). I knew I was in trouble for chasing cats and everything, so I got really stressed. That's when I saw the log of cheese that Mom left out on the counter. Well, they were still outside talking to the neighbor, so I jumped up on the counter and ate the entire log of cheese! Boy were they mad when they came back inside. Mom was right, I shouldn't have eaten all that cheese... now my tummy feels gurgly. I guess every dog has a bad day.

Boy I'm tuckered. We are finally all moved in to the new place. Mom brought over the last of my stuff so now everything is in the new house: my bed, my many Kongs, my special sensitive stomach treats... everything! I really like to run up and down the stairs and play in the big backyard. And this Saturday, Mom and Dad might take me horse riding! I don't think I'll be doing the riding, I'd rather just run along side. Did you know that that is what us Dalmatians were bred to do? Yep! Run alongside horses! I can't wait! Till then...

Hi everyone,
My first entry on Dogster...October 28th 2005 4:31 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
It's a cold and boring day, so I made my human start an account for me on Dogster.com. There aren't a lot of other Dalmatians here in Oregon, but I've already seen a ton here on Dogster! I'm having a lazy day, just hanging out with Britt and snuggling up in my favorite red hoodie (because it's so cold here!) My friends Jake and Webster visited me today! We had fun running around together. Well, I'm going to go beg for food now.
