Favorite Toy:
A strange pink, green, and purple toy with rubber spikes and bumps on it. It's supposed to be good for her teeth, but she thinks it's just an awesome toy. She also loves her Booda rope that she swings back and forth in her mouth quite fiercely.

Favorite Food:
Steak and chicken, on the rare occasion she gets people-food under the table. She's a very good girl that eats her Large Breed Iams chunks mixed with some green beans (brother's on the "Green Bean Diet.")

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere.

Arrival Story:
I found three month-old Gracie in the middle of the street in a very bad neighborhood. Some boys came out from behind a fence to see if they'd been successful in getting her hit by a car and when I asked them if she was their puppy, they said she was stupid and I could have her. Upon closer inspection at home, she had been cut all the way around her neck (thank goodness their blade wasn't long enough to get through the last layer of skin), her whiskers had all been pulled out, they had raked a fork through one ear, and they had caught the tip of her tail on fire. She was also dehydrated and malnourished from being eaten up with multiple types of worms. We spent two and half hours at the vet, and had everybody, including the FedEx man in tears!! I had to do a lot of occupational therapy with Gracie so that all the devices used to torture her would not be frightening to her in the future, and we had to do a lot of socializing exercises, but now she is the sweetest, happiest, most well-adjusted love bug you've ever seen!

Bio:
Gracie is part German Shepherd, part Irish Wolfhound, part terrier, and mostly Princess! She is now a healthy, happy 65 pound love machine who still thinks she weighs 11 pounds and can sleep in mommy's neck (o: She loves her sister Miss Molly, her brother Busta Jack, and her best friends and neighbors (another) Miss Molly, Digger (RIP), Brownie, Rudy(RIP), Dana, Boo and Diesel. She knows she was rescued from a horrible situation and looks up at her mommy and daddy every night during snuggle time with eyes that say, "thank you, thank you, thank you."
