Muffin passed away last Friday. She was diagnosed with very aggressive Lymphoma last October. We tried two kinds of chemo which allowed us to have more time with her, but of course would not cure her. We are all heartbroken but so glad for the time that we had with her, just wish it was longer. We all miss our baby girl, Muffer.

Happy New Year Everyone! Just wanted to write an update for Muffer, she's doing very well on Chemo. She had to go for three weeks in a row to get a shot, now it's every 3 weeks and takes Prednizone every other day. She is back to her old self again. We were all afraid she would be tired/sick alot but she runs and plays more than she has in a long time. We are very hopeful. We all love her very much. I will put more pics up soon.

I started chemo yesterday and I feel alot better. I have more energy and I'm not nauseated at all. Mom and dad have been feeding me chicken and brown rice. I like it much better than the nasty dry food. I'm not as tired as was and I can play more. I'm being a good dog and taking all my medicine.

Not Good News

This past weekend, we noticed lumps on Muffin's neck and stomach. We took her to the vet, she has lymphoma. We had sonograms and x-rays and it looks like they are just in her lymph nodes and nowhere else, which is good. When she went to the doctor last week for the gastroenteritis, they did blood work and said there was nothing there, but sometime cancer does that. I'm Muffin's sister and I live in Denton and Muffin lives with my parents. They are going to take her to see an Oncologist tomorrow and talk about chemo. If anyone reading this knows about chemo we would love to hear your opinion. We are just heartbroken and can't imagine our lives without her but if she's going to suffer and be sick from the chemo, that's not living either and we don't want to put her through it. Please email me and let me know if you have had experience with canine chemo.

What a week! I went to the doctor's twice! It all happened Saturday when I went to Memaw's with my daddy because we weren't invited to the baby shower. I wasn't feeling well, I had an upset tummy, but I went anyway. When I got home I started getting really sick so my brother took me to the doctor and they said I had gastroenteritis. I had to stay overnight because I was dehydrated. I started feeling better the next day after mommy and daddy came to get me but daddy said I just wasn't myself. So mommy took me back to the doctor the next morning. They gave me some antibiotics and I feel much better now!
