Why Halloween costumes are NOT so good! (Fifth in a series)

Katie would like to tell all dog owners and guardians why it is NOT a good idea to put Halloween costumes on their dogs!

Halloween costumes are very uncomfortable! The hats get in the way of your eyes so you cannot see. The collars are very itchy. And the little bracelets make walking much too difficult!

Halloween costumes are very embarrassing. Especially when your people take you to visit the neighbors and the neighbors' dogs see you! Those dogs just laugh and laugh and laugh.

Halloween costumes are not dignified. As you know, Katie is a very beautiful and shiny black dog. But the costume gets in the way of my dignified asthetic.

In conclusion, you should NOT put Halloween costumes on beautiful dogs like me, even if they are hand-me-downs. We all know that the best price is FREE, but even free is too high a price.

Why walks are so good (the fourth in a series)

I would like to tell you about going for walks and why they are so good.

Walks are a great way to meet new people and dogs. Sometimes, your Mommy will let you sniff the other dogs. Sometimes, new people will walk up to you so they can pet you!

Walks are a great way to stretch your legs. It's not the same as running, but you always feel so good when you're done with your walks.

Walks are a great way to learn about your neighborhood. It's very important in case you ever get lost - so you'll know your way home!

Walks let you breathe the fresh air. I like being in my house, but it is sometimes good to smell some different smells. (You know how us doggies like to smell things!)

In conclusion, I believe that all doggies should get to go on leash walks. You should always keep your doggies on their leash when you are near busy roads. Sometimes us doggies get a little bit silly and follow our noses into the wrong places. So, keep us safe and we will love you forever!

Why cars are so good (Katie's third essay)

I have discovered that cars are very good things. Although I was scared of them at first, I learned that they can be very interesting places to be!

Cars take you to doggie daycare. I just love doggie daycare. Every morning, my Mommy puts my leash on me and takes me to the car. We get in and then, when we get out, we are at doggie daycare!

Cars take you to the dog park. It's almost as good as doggie daycare. Sometimes when we get in the car, Mommy opens the door to let me out and I'm at the dog park!

Cars can be very confusing things. You are at one place when you get in and you are in a very different place when you get out. Also, the whole world becomes a blur when you are in a car. And, sometimes, when you're in the car, the whole world swerves and sways! But, you always end up at an interesting place when your Mommy opens the door to let you out!
