Likes:
Going for rides, especially when they lead her to a shopping trip at Tractor Supply! Chasing birds from her yard. Learning from her mother, Lyzzi Brittain (also featured in Dogster).

Pet-Peeves:
Cold rainy days with no birds to chase. Someone taking her bed. Rides to the Vet, when she was convinced she was going to Tractor Supply to pick out food or a new toy!

Favorite Toy:
'Daddy'

Favorite Food:
Left over pancakes from big weekend breakfasts!

Favorite Walk:
Out to the truck, and then into the farm supply store with 'Daddy'!

Best Tricks:
Her perfect sit, and very gently giving her paw in a very lady-like fashion.

Arrival Story:
Cera is the only tri-color born to her mothers 1 and only litter of pups. There were 4 puppies in Cera's litter, 2 boys and 2 girls. The 2 boys and Cera's sister, Tessy were all three liver and white like their Sire. Cera looks so similar to her mother. Even her mask on her face is very symmetrical, like her mother's. Her name is from the Children's movie, "The Land Before Time". As a puppy she was feisty like the little Triceratops in the movie, so we named her "Cera".

Bio:
Because Cera looked so much like her mother, we loved walking them side by side because they were perfect 'bookends' to each other. Cera held her point to almost always let her Mom flush birds. She was always very respectful of the fact that her Mother, Lyzzi, 'out ranked' her in our family pack. Although Lyzzi is no longer with us, our hearts are comforted and joyous in the gift Lyzzi gave us to remember her: Cera! When Lyzzi passed away Cera ran away from home (we don't know if the loss of her mother's guiding presence was what could have lead her to leave our home to 'find' Lyzzi). Cera was gone for several days. While out on her own, Cera must have tired of her bad living conditions and figured out a way to reach out to the world of humans for help. She triggered the automatic door at a CVS drug store (miles and miles from our home), walked into the store and back to the Pharmacy and laid down on a area rug to rest. Her collar and identification were still with her and we were JOYFULLY reunited with her the next morning! That is how she got the NICKNAME: Cera 'Stay-in-your-yard', Cera! We are so lucky to have her safe at home. Ready to shop at the farm supply store whenever Daddy needs a new tool or fencing!
