Quick Bio:

Birthday:
June 25th 2003

Likes:
I like to be curled up in my mommy's lap.

Pet-Peeves:
It really bugs me when another dog gets close to my mommy. Don't they know she is mine?!

Favorite Toy:
My big brother, Potter's ears. They are great to chew on. I don't think he likes it much but it sure is fun for me!

Favorite Food:
My favorite food is whatever my brother, Potter, is eating. If he likes, I know I need to try it too!

Favorite Walk:
I just like to be free to run! Mommy doesn't let me run free very often because she worries I might get hurt, but whenever I can get off my leash, those are the best walks of all!

Best Tricks:
I can jump from the ground into my mommy's arms when she is standing. I've heard her say I'm like a flying squirrel.

Arrival Story:
My mommy thought my big brother, Potter, might need a friend. He seemed a little lonely when she would go to work all day. I was just a few weeks old when she found out about me & the other puppies in my litter. She brought Potter to the home I was living in so he could pick me out. I knew I wanted to go home with Mommy & Potter so I decided to play it cool. I pretended to be really calm and sweet so they'd fall in love with me. Three weeks later I was old enough to go home with Potter & Mommy. Once they had me at home & I was officially part of the family, I knew I could be myself.

Bio:
So what you've heard is true, I'm not quite as friendly as my big brother, Potter. I'm smaller than he is; I'm smaller than everyone, which is very intimidating! You'd be scared too if you were as little as me. But I'm really affectionate. I just love to be hugged and cuddled.

Vacation for who?

So mom & dad recently went on what they call a vacation. Before they left they talked to me about what it all meant; they'd be gone for a whole week on a big boat floating through the ocean. I didn't know what the ocean was but mom said it was wet and that was all I needed to know because I DO NOT LIKE WATER! Well, sprinklers are okay and if there is a puddle when we go for a walk it is always kinda fun to run through it, but anything more than that just reminds me of a bath and I DO NOT LIKE BATHS! So when Mom said I couldn't come I was sad but thought maybe it was for the best. Who knew 7 days was such a long time? Mom & Dad always let me stay with my aunt Susan whenever they go away and she is real nice. She takes me on like 10 walks every day and the treat jar that it takes mom 3 months to empty is gone empty after a week at Aunt Susan's, yet something was still missing. My big brother, Potter, doesn't even seem to notice Mom & Dad are gone. But no one's lap is quite like Mom's. I just can't get comfortable if I can't curl up on Dad's belly at night. I was really sad and moped around all week while Potter soaked up all of Aunt Susan's attention. Then, finally when I thought they'd never come back, Mom & Dad did. I thought they'd be so happy to see me but they just kept saying how much they didn't want to come back. I think I even heard them say that next year they are going away for twice as long. So I've been thinking, I've seen doggie life-vests in the pet stores. Perhaps I could overcome my fear and accompany Mom & Dad on their next trip. No offense, Aunt Susan, but I'm a Mommy's girl. I don't think I'd survive 2 weeks without her!

So we just got back from from our Thanksgiving vacation. Every year my mom and dad take me to Georgia where my grandparents and aunts and uncles live for the holiday. I sure do love to ride in the car. Anytime the car door is open I'm ready to hop right up into my car seat and hit the highways. The vibration of the wheels on the road is like a lullaby to my furry ears; puts me right to sleep. However, the ride is the best part of the whole trip. My Grandma has lots of land and yard and there are all sorts of other animals roaming around out there. Some are big and some are small but they all have one thing in common, they give me the heeby-jeebies. Plus my mom has all of these 6 foot tall, smelly boy cousins who think my harness is a handle & try to pick me up by it! Ouch! Boys are so dumb sometimes. I couldn't wait until mom opened up the car door and let me jump right back up into my car seat for the ride home. That was the best part of the whole trip.....leaving. Now I'm back in my own home, my own dog house, my own bed. Home, Sweet Home. I hope we don't leave again too soon. I need a year to recover from the stress of this last trip!

No Trick or Treaters = A Good Thing

I think I've mentioned before that I'm a bit on the anxious, nervous, jumpy side. I can't deny who I am. My excuse is that I'm little. Anyway, I don't like lots of noise and barking outside my home. It makes me all twitchy and yippy. I'm not proud of it but I accept it; it's who I am. Dad thinks it's funny to knock on the walls and get me all riled up. It drives Mommy nuts! She had a little pep talk with me Monday night to let me know there might be a lot of noise and knocking because it was Halloween. She said all of the kids would be out looking for candy. I cowered in my house for over an hour after the sun went down but not one kid knocked on the door. So I came out and curled up with my Mommy. just hoping the kids would stay away....and they did! However all of that worrying leading up to Halloween night wore me out! Does Halloween come every year? I can't do that again any time soon!
