Sun Sign:

Quick Bio:

Eating and swimming and going on a trail ride with the horses. As you can see in the last picture, Jake loves to go visit the local retirement home. He is so sweet to the residents there.

Jake has no pet peeves.

Favorite Toy:
Stuffed Teddy Bear and Stuffed Blue Bunny plus all tennis balls. Jake will not go outside without one of these in his mouth.

Favorite Food:
Everything, Everything, Everything!!

Favorite Walk:
To the barn to see the horses and to the marina to swim. Jake's very favorite thing is to go on a trail ride with his horse brother.

Best Tricks:
Jake's best trick was getting 4-5 large stuffed animals in his mouth all at once, and then walking around outside with them.

Arrival Story:
We knew that Jake's sister was getting old, and thought letting her take care of a puppy would lengthen her life. We brought Jake home, and at first Murphy wouldn't have anything to do with him. But after about 3 weeks, she became his instant mother and even though Jake outweighs Murphy by 50 lbs, Murphy is the boss and Jake does what she says. Jake likes to groom Murphy all the time, and he dearly adores his big sister.

Jake is our family clown and makes us smile everyday. He is so affectionate and loving and always happy. Jake has been a real blessing to our family. Jake thinks he is a lap dog even though he weighs in at 95 lbs. Jake is afraid of loud noises, and we can always find him in the closet during one of our Texas thunderstorms. Jake just went through a scary time. He was diagnosed with cancer of the spleen. The spleen was removed and it was found that the cancer had not spread to any other organs. Jake is doing great and back to normal. We are very lucky to still have our boy with us. Jake is a very special guy and brings lots of joy to our home.......:O( July 5, 2006~ Jake lost his battle with Cancer today. A very large tumor was discovered in the right chamber of his heart and there was nothing the vets could do. Apparently the Cancer from the spleen spread into his heart and was undetected. Jake went to the Rainbow's Bride to join his big sister Murphy today at 4:30 p.m. We are so thankful for the time we had with our darling boy and were glad that we decided to have the spleen surgery. We were able to have him 3 more months. Our beautiful Golden boy will be missed beyond words.
