Arrival Story:
We had to put our 17 year old lab mix Barney to sleep after his legs gave out. He was Gypsy's best friend and she was devestated. She refused to eat for two days. We were getting a shipment of Satos into DAWS, and Amber's foster Mom and I had been e-mailing about her. I had planned to help adopt her out. I took Gypsy to meet all of the pups that had flown. She hated them all - until this little silly blond puppy came out to meet her. It was an instant bond - and they've been glued to each other ever since.

Bio:
Amber lived in the projects in Old San Juan on a balcony her first 5 months. Although she was fed, she was never walked, and her owner would scream and hit her when she went to the bathroom. Needless to say, when she came here - she loved my husband, but was terrified of me. Now she is a complete clown, loves to be cuddled, and just plain makes us laugh.
