Likes: Her human Dad, barking, treats, barking, the cats' butts, barking, the litter box if she can get away with it, barking, chasing birds, barking, playing with Buddy Lee, barking, keeping the yard free of rabbits, kitties, and birds.
Pet-Peeves: Mom yelling at me to shut up and to quit licking.
Favorite Toy: Buddy Lee, the cat's butt, any toy I can rip the stuffing out of AFTER I've broken the squeaker! Mom kinda gets mad if I've already destroyed it before she can even throw away the bag it came in. Oh, and I'm not allowed to chew on Buddy Lee's toys.....
Favorite Food: Oh woe is me........I ate too much catfood, got really, really sick and now I can't have anything but danged old dry stuff. I do like the occasional stick, walnuts, green apples and sour grapes.
Favorite Walk: Anywhere with dad......dad doesn't mind being dragged all over while I sniff!
Best Tricks: Pretending I have to make pee-pee at 2 a.m. so Mom will let me out and then I go for a rabbit check !
Arrival Story: My first human family no longer wanted me and I went to the humane society. My bestest Dad always wanted either a Vizsla or a Weimaraner, and hey, I'm both! Mom saw my picture in the paper; when they came to see me, it was love at first sight. My kennel neighbor Mel also melted Dad's heart and he came too! Too bad he was a Houdini...he was fun to play with and I tormented him since I was just a pup and he was an old guy! Now I am getting paybacks with my new little brother Buddy Lee. He likes to chew on my legs and sit on my head. Oh, and he likes to bury his treats under me and then growl if I wanna look at them! Hey, I just wanna LOOK!
Bio: We don't have a good history of Phoebe's first year. We do know she has some issues, along with seizures, skin allergies, and pancreatitis. She is very sweet, affectionate, and has a bubbly high-school cheerleader outlook on life.

To the Bridge: My stay here on Earth wasn't as long as I would have liked, but I did get to know what love, kindness and patience were before I made my way to the Bridge. I will always love my Dad for being the best support system a big ol' girl like myself could ever ask for. Love ya, Dad!
I am humbled and thankful for the outpouring of kindness and love from my pals and their humans to my family and myself since I crossed to the Bridge. But then today, I find the kindness and generosity has expanded by my receiving THE MOST BEAUTIFUL set of wings from my loving and caring pal Inky Dinky Doodle and family. I am so humbled I cannot even bark. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I was a pretty grrrrl on Earth; now I am beautiful forever.
6/3/2007...Today I crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge. It was quite peaceful and such a relief (and release) from my body and those awful seizures. I can chase birds and bark all I want, now. My Mom and Grandma took me to let me be released after Mom found me in my doghouse unresponsive. Grampa and a family friend came to see if they could help, but alas...I was ready to go. Mom gave me sips of water on the way and I did lift my head up some but I couldn't answer to my name or get up. See, I'd had several more bad seizures lately, then been acting strange. When I didn't come running for my morning cheese (and meds slyly hidden in the cheese) Mom knew something was wrong.
Dad will be very sad to learn I've gone. He's out of the country again, and I've been his girl from the very beginning. I loved the men in my family very much as I liked being a Daddy's girl! And a Grandpa's girl....I'm still their girl, just an angel now. Don't worry Dad.......no more siezures for me!
To all who knew me, loved me, and will miss me: BARKBARKBARKBARKBARK!
I tried to tell everyone in the neighborhood I found a new friend today. It went something like this:
"SNAKE! SNAKE! SNAKE! SNAKE! SNAKE! SNAKE! SNAKE!" I even left the fledgling birds alone to play with my new-found friend. I was thinking we were having great fun, wiggling and being tossed in the air but apparently only one of us was enjoying the experience. I thought my friend just needed a nap....in the sun...
Mom didn't appreciate my new pal.
Buddy Lee did.
We both lost out. If my new friend hadn't started to smell, I'd still be playing with it. Maybe tomorrow....
