Birthday:
March 12th 2000

Likes:
Sleeping under the covers and between knees, food, running down the hall at high speed when returning from a walk.

Pet-Peeves:
Bubble wrap, the "helicopter game," big hyper dogs, and being helped up when he's determined to get on the bed all by himself.

Favorite Toy:
Bear, Sheep, Puppy, Bobo, and water bottles.

Favorite Food:
Macaroni and cheese.

Favorite Walk:
So far, in Florida, he only knows the local sidewalk. When in NYC, he likes to walk in the park along the East River, and going to the local Duane Reade pharmacy.

Best Tricks:
He can give two different kinds of kisses: if he's just being affectionate, he licks; if he wants a treat, he gives a peck on the nose.

Arrival Story:
Max had been living with a family who'd neglected him. He has a huge, bald scar on his tail, and the injury apparently caused nerve damage so bad that he can't wag his tail. But the Humane Society of New York received him when he was two-and-a-half, and he'd only been there for a week when we came by and discovered he was perfect for us.

Bio:
Max (a name we didn't pick but he already responded to when we adopted him at age 2) is rumored to be a mix of chihuahua, pitbull, and maybe something else like corgi or Jack Russell. He's most comfortable sitting or lying on people or creating a "cave" atmosphere by burrowing under a blanket or sitting under a chair. He used to be a little scared of other dogs, but after "working" at a doggie boutique in NYC for a couple months, he got much better with other animals. Mom, a 27-year-old writer, and Dad, a 30-year-old actor, recently divorced on very friendly terms. Mom moved to Florida, and for a few months, Max lived with Dad's great new girlfriend Natali and her Yorkie, Phin. He eventually moved to Florida, and loves spending time with his Grandma.
