Arrival Story:
Sam was the dog of the week in our local paper. We fell in love with his picture - it was obvious he needed extra love. He had been abused by his previous owers. We never expected him to be so big, though! The minute my husband stepped into the kennel with him, Sam just leaned on him and gave him the most solemn, soulful look. Needless to say he's been with us ever since!

Bio:
We think Sam has some golden and lab in him. He's a big boy - just under 100 pounds. He loves to hunt and isn't the least bit gun-shy. He's the biggest cuddler and would be on the furniture in a heartbeat if we'd let him! He's having trouble with arthritis and losing his hearing these days. Not as playful and agile as he once was, but definitely the best dog one could ever hope to have!
