It's been awhile!

Hello everyone! Sorry for the long span of time between entries. I am hard at work patrolling the yard for squirrels and cats and other things that move. When not zooming around the yard, I'm sleeping on the bed or following my mother around the house. Check out my Halloween photo below - I was Anubis (surprise!). Take care ya'll!

My Seven Random Facts:

1. I love to drink iced coffee and eat carrots.

2. I follow my mom around the house - wherever she is, I am!!!

3. I love to go on camping/hiking vacation trips with my people.

4. I love when my mom brushes and scales my teeth, and clips my nails. I fall asleep in her lap. Any chance for mom to dote on me, I'll take it!

5. My mom calls me "Shampy-stars!" in a high-pitched voice sometimes! I don't know what that's about, but it's more mommy-attention so I'll take that too!

6. Sometimes I have big bursts of energy where I'll run around the house like crazy throwing my "snowman head" toy in the air and then pouncing on it like a cat. Then as soon as I turn it on, I am out like a light just as fast!

7. I love Mardi Gras time when the house is full of guests and there's lots of people-food handouts and food on the floor! Every once in awhile someone might give me just a little bit of beer!

Hello pupster pals and dogster friends!

I haven't written in a lonnn ---- ng time and just want to give a big THANK YOU to all those who have graciously requested to be a pal of mine! I love having frenz! And another deep WOOF!!! to those who pinned a rosette on my page!! I'm joyfully throwing my "snowman-head" toy all around the house for you guys!

I'll be 9 years old on June 4th. I am still as active and silly as the day my new parents picked me up and brought me home!

"Proud to swim home"

Hey everyone!

I know I'm a little late in saying so, but just wanted to let you know that I survived Katrina and I am back at home after a month of evacuation. My house is fine except we need a new roof and all kinds of other repairs; this hound and his family are very fortunate! I have many doggie friends that are displaced (such as my friends Stella and Sadie - see their pages!) but they are doing fine despite their losses.

My plans for the Ibizan Hound National Specialty

Schedule permitting, I am planning to attend this year's Ibizan Hound National Specialty in Bossier City/Shreveport in mid-April. I will get to see many other ibizan hounds which will be cool as I hardly ever see them. We are a rare breed, ya know. Which reminds me, hey mom! You need to sign me up for the march in the Parade of Titleholders at the event!!

My day in the Krewe of Barkus parade

Hello friends!

I had a great day in the Krewe of Barkus, dressed up as "Sirius Black"! I enjoyed my day in the French Quarter walking with all of my doggie friends and my cousins (Newton and Annabelle). And, I made the local news on 2 channels! I knew how to work those cameras!! I'm so glad it did not rain - I melt in the rain...

I am top dog this week! I'm such a Happy Hound!

Hey everyone! I'm delighted to be the dog-o'-the-week winner! Thanks to all who have requested to be my pup-pal cuz I sure enjoy all the attention. Speaking of attention, my mother has signed me up to walk in the Krewe of Barkus parade (www.barkus.org) in the French Quarter this Mardi Gras season. This year's theme is "Hairy Pawter and the Sorcerer's Bone" . I'll be dressed as 'Sirius Black' and my mother and father will be Dementors. I'm not too crazy about having to wear a Pound-Hound striped prison costume to dress as Sirius Black, but I always do what my mommy asks. There'll be many many doggies at Barkus; perhaps I'll see some of you guys there! Happy Mardi Gras everyone!
