Snuggles, cat chasing, mommy.
That his cat sister and brother won't play with him.
Stuffed animals with squeakers, rawhide bones
Chicken and dumplings
Opening closet doors, getting the cat to jump on top of the refrigerator.
Boudreaux was picked up by Austin's animal control and taken to Town Lake Animal Center. They said that he was found playing sweetly with a stray cat. I went there looking for a friend for Snork andBoudreaux (then named Ranger) caught my eye. I took him out for a walk and played with him that evening until they closed. I went back every day to see him; it was love at first sight! So, we took Snork to meet him and they got along great -- Snork was glad to finally know who he had been smelling on my jeans every night.
Laissez les bons temps roulez!

So Mom and Dad kept calling me Sputnik, even though I kept trying to tell them that was not my name. So, I stopped answering to it all together. Finally, last week, Mom realized that I wanted a new name and tried out "Boudreaux" ... I was so happy that she realized that I was a cajun dog that I immediately obeyed her.

Wow -- I can't believe I've been here a whole month now! It's gone so fast, but I've learned so much already! First, I've learned that not all cats are nice. The ones at my house are especially not nice. I've tried all month to befriend them, and all I get are swats on my nose, and nasty catfood smell spraying HISSES!
But, I do love my new brother, Snork. He and I LOVE to play tug-of-war and snuggle with Mom and Dad on the bed in the morning. We also play bite face and tear things up together in the back yard. (I'm not sure why that makes Mom so unhappy!)
I finally got that stupid cone thing off my head, too. The vet says I've gained 6 pounds since moving into my new home, and that my abscess has healed nicely.
Oh yeah, Mom and Dad started taking me to dog school, too. I think I'm the star pupil there, because everyone always talks about how good I am.
