Arrival Story: Ginger found me at the mall at the local shelter's temporary booth for strays. She gave me a big ol' kiss on the nose and claimed me right then and there! The shelter had rescued her and her brother- a few days earlier. They were 11 weeks old and someone threw them in a dumpster.
Turns out she had double pneumonia and was a sick girl for a little bit, so she suckered me in by being calm and quiet for all of two weeks and then she got in touch with her inner puppy and has been the goofiest thing on 4 feet since!
She is my heart!
Bio: She is a people-lover. She's happiest when she can meet new people. Even at the dog park, she's more interested in the people than the dogs. She'll somehow squeeze herself through the 4 inches of available space on top of the pet gate in my car to then slide on top of my head, into my lap when we enter any parking lot where she sees people.

I'm feeling much better now after suffering a nasty tummy ache from food allergies (I had to be on something mommy called an IV - they shaved my leg for it but I didn't mind because I got a really cool pink bandage).
Mommy's got us all eating really yummy duck and oatmeal dogfood. She says it's healthier for my tummy. Which means I'll feel good enough to play and be goofy all the time now!
Darcy and McKenzie and I are all getting along really well. It's hard to imagine it was just me and mommy for awhile there when I was a baby. We must have been really bored with nothing to do. McKenzie gets into trouble all the time which is too funny. It used to be me but now I practically have a halo compared to her. In fact, if you look at one of my black and white pictures up there, you can see me looking for my halo.
Hello, all. Mixed feelings today. My little brother, Darcy, comes home from the pound tomorrow. So today's the last day with just mommy and me. Tomorrow I shall have to share food, toys, love, the couch and the bed with (gasp!) another dog. Mind you, I LOVE doggies. Adore them all (who wouldn't!) but this "sharing" thing might be a bit of a challenge for me since I've been the only furbaby around here since March.
Of course, having another co-conspirator of doggiedom might be a blast and it'll be great to be able to play with somebody without that somebody telling me "no teeth", "no biting", "no jumping". Sheesh. A girl's gotta have fun, right?
So, wish me luck. Mommy says she'll put his pics up tomorrow night for all to see. He'd better not be as cute as me! THAT I would definitely have a problem with!
