   Leave a bone for P'Nut

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

June 16th 2005

Tormenting the older dogs. Stealing chewies and belly rubs.

Hates belly kisses and being cuddled too long. She's finally gotten used to the belly kisses, but definitely has a mind of her own. I tell everybody that P'Nut acts the most like "normal" Wawas.

Favorite Toy:
An old sock, anything paper (to chew), Mom's shoes

Favorite Food:
I eat everything but approach the bowl like it's going to attack me (a little wussy like my Daddy!). Don't even think about trying to take my rawhide chewies away from me!

Favorite Walk:
in the back yard. The first time I walked on a leash was when we got the boat and boy was I pissed! It's August now and I'm finally behaving on the leash at the Marina (why can't they have a nice big yard to play and poop in?

Best Tricks:
Distracting Knuck just enough to swoop down and steal his chewie! He's soooooo stupid sometimes. He falls for it every time.

Arrival Story:
We finally got to breed Knuck in April '05 and his daughter was one of five born in June. We brought her home in August and she has taken over. We call her a brat because she doesn't take any stuff from the bigger/older dogs and definitely knows what she wants! She bounces up onto the furniture and pushes her way to the prime 'seat' like a Mexican jumping bean! She can't go up and down the inside steps (handles outside deck okay) because she's so short. P'Nut will be a year old in a few weeks and she still is too small to do the indoor steps (to the second floor), so we carry her. She has become quite a hidey-hole snuggler. If there is a blanket or pillow around, she burys herself under it. I tell all visitors never to sit on the sofa without checking for a little Wa-wa hiding there. When she gets on the boat, she looks for a chewie (that she hid last trip) and goes into the berth, plops her butt on a pillow and we don't see her again until she needs a drink! Unlike the other kids, she won't pee on the boat; she'll hold it until we get back to the dock. When she goes out in the yard at home, she won't come in until she's ready. She finds a sunny spot and lounges there until I go retrieve her. I keep telling her that she's prime hawk food, but she doesn't listen.

P'Nut was weighed the end of July and she's a whopping 3.2 pounds! She's definately a tiny one like her mom. Dad keeps saying that she's ugly because she has a faint black stripe running down her back to the tip of her tail. She's a perfect little apple-head Wawa and just a little baby-doll! Mom said she's going to breed me next time I go into heat. She knows a tan little boy who's just my size! 7/07 After much discussion, we decided not to breed P'Nut. She is so very tiny and even with a tiny male partner, she would probably need to deliver c-section (and Mom doesn't want to put her through that). All the 'girls' are now spayed.
