Arrival Story: My boyfriend learned about the American Staffordshire Terrier, and really liked what he learn about the breed. He looked in a local paper, and found a person who was selling Amstaf puppies, so he went to check it out. When he got there, the man showed him the available puppies. Stan looked at all of them. There was one puppy that was kind of off to the side, not jumping all over him like the rest of the puppies. He went over to him, and saw that he had a little bit of ringworm. The man informed Stan that the puppy was the runt. Stan told the guy that if he would take him if he charged less, because of the dog being the runt and having the ringworm. The deal was struck. Stan took the puppy home, and named him Notch, because he has the white collar around his neck notches up into the black. That mild mannered pup turned into a hyper guy. He turned out to be an incredible dog that we miss greatly. RIP Notch, 9-30-12. Bio: He was the runt of his litter. He is lovable and sweet. He got lost for a few days in August 2005, but luckily came back to his family. Loves to chase rabbits and squirrels. He loves the spot on his back on the end of his tail scratched.
