Arrival Story:
We discovered we were ready for a dog in our family. As we searched petfinder.com and many online shelters we learned quickly that large black dogs are typically the LAST to get adopted. We knew THEN that was the type we wanted. We finally discovered this cute 6 month old black lab/dalmatian online from a dalmatian rescue located about 2 hours away. After a house evaluation and many emails, we learned she was the dog for us. I was so nervous the afternoon we were driving to get her, what if she wasn't the right dog for us? But she and I were soulmates from the first car trip, she slept in my arms the whole drive home and during her bath at home too! :) She is the best dog I have ever owned, completely loyal to me and just such a sweetie!
Bio:
Kira has such a lovely temperment. She is affectionate, cuddly, calm when needed (most of the time) and so patient! Our youngest son learned to walk, often stepping on her ears or tail or head and she never moved, she knew he wasn't intending to and completely relaxed about it! She is our St.Patty's Day born miracle dog!
