Retrieving her balls, sitting on top of warm laundry from the dryer, and chewing Greenies are amongst her favorite pastimes. Taylor also loves going to the vineyard to run free. She can run for hours with her endless JRT energy!
Pet-Peeves:
Getting her nails trimmed and when Mommy vacuums.
Favorite Toy:
A rubber chicken drumstick that squeaks and balls of any kind are always a hit! Much to our dismay, she seems to fancy Mom's underwear. Needless to say, several pairs have been replaced.
Favorite Food:
Absolutely loves cherry tomatoes... she rolls them around on the ground for a while before devouring them. Her special treat is scrambled eggs once a week.
Favorite Walk:
Any walk anywhere will do! Taylor is very social and loves any opportunity to get exercise, explore the outdoors, and meet people.
Arrival Story:
My husband and I went to our local dog park to get a feel for the type of dog that we wanted. We fell in love with the feisty, adorable JRT's, as they seemed to outsmart the bigger dogs. Spontaneously, we decided to check our newspaper for breeders and located one near the southern coast of Washington State. This was a good 4 hour drive from Portland, but regardless we immediately made the journey all in the name of a puppy. Finally, we ended up at a remote farmhouse... very storybook. As we walked into the adjacent barn, we could see the puppies playing next to the hay bales. Taylor was full of spunk and hopped right into my lap... all 3 pounds of her! Along with her loving nature, she was beautiful. She essentially picked us and the rest is history. She really is a special family member. We never thought we would be the kind of "dog people" that we used to make fun of! We honestly can't imagine our lives without her!
Bio:
Taylor makes her home in Southwest Portland and can frequently be seen at Gabriel Park in Vermont Hills or Potso Park in Tigard.
