Wow its been a loooooong time!

I've been super busy. There are lots of bugs to chase and squirrels that keep me occupied. For the most part things have been really good. My mom and I take walks at the big dog trail. It's 3 miles every time!

On a bad note. I got my nails clipped. My mom took me to the vet early in the morning and they drugged me. I don't remember any of it, just waking up in the big cage wondering where my mom was and why my paws hurt. Then I rememberd they cut my nails! I tried to be really nice so they would let me out of the cage, but no matter how sweet I looked they kept me locked up. Finally my mom came back for me and she had a big Loofa Dog for me. Red, to match my collar.

I'm off to chase my brother Rufus the cat. We both got baths yesterday so he is all cranky cause his fur is poofy. It's fun to chase him when he is cranky.

I am NOT Foo Dog!!!

My mom found out there is an animated shar-pei on the disney channel. His name is Foo dog and he talks and he is super cool. Well everywhere I have gone lately the little people run at me screaming "Foo Dog!!!" Then they try to grab my wrinkles. I don't like strangers touching me, let alone the little ones, who don't know how to be gentle grabbing my skin and pulling on me while yelling in my ears. I know they are little people and that they don't understand, but it really bugs me. My mommy always gives me treats and tells the little people that they need to be more gentle with me and not grab me without asking first.
Oh well, at least people think I am famous.

I'm ITCHY

I love the spring time. Its so warm out and my mom takes me for long walks and lets me sniff stuff, but like my mommy I get allergies too! My paws are so itchy and I sneeze. My mommy's friend says that at night we both snore like pigs cause we are both so stuffed up. My mom tries to spray my paws and legs with hydrocortizone but it stings! Plus its my paws, I hate hate HATE having my paws touched. I just got a bath today I feel so fresh and so clean and best of all less itchy. :-D

I'm 3 today!!!

Today is my birthday! I am 3! I woke up nice and late today. I love to sleep in. My mommy got me a new toy Oh how I love toys :-D I have spent most of my day being leisurely and lazy. Later on my mom and I are going to her moms. They are going to give me tons of yummy food. Shhhh don't tell, but I get my own steak cause its my birthday. I hope that everyone has as great a day as me!!

Shop till I drop!

A new PetSmart opened only 5 minutes from my house today. My mommy took me to the store for its grand opening. It was so crowded, I didn't know what to do. There were so many people and other doggies and tons of smells and toys and not to mention shelves full of treats. My mom says that I behaved very well. I thought I did a good job too. Lots of people try to touch me cause I am wrinkly and they think I am so good looking. I don't like to be touched by strangers. It scares me. I sniff their hands but move my head if they try to touch me. SOmetimes people don't take my subtle hint and they keep trying to touch me, so i gently nip at them. Usually that works. A little kid ran up and grabbed my wrinkles from behind. That was scary. I turned around to bite because I am a fighting dog, thats what we do when we are startled. I noticed it was a little kid when I turned around and I was able to stop myself. My mommy bought me lots of treats and a new tug toy. I was so happy when we got back to the car and headed home. I was tired of the touching and all the other doggies sniffing my butt. Now I am at home and on my couch. Phew! What an exciting and exhausting day!

Bath Time

I hate it when my mom or anyone for that matter says that I stink. I am a very clean dog. I wipe my feet before I come back in after a walk. I lick my paws clean too. So when my mom says i stink I am willing to do the unthinkable. I take a bath.
Normally I run around so mom can't catch me and then I tug so she can't put me in the tub, but when she says I am smelly, I willingly hop in. Baths are no fun. Water gets in my eyes, and sometimes in my ears. But when I am done i smell good. All the ladies love me. WHen I go for walks people come up to me and pet me and say that i smell and look so good. I should be a model. I'm handsome :-D

Best Day EVER!!!

Yesterday was one of the best days I have had in a long time. The weather was so nice outside and I was hoping my mom would take me for a long walk around our apartment, but she was even nicer! We went for a walk on the big track a few minutes away. There were tons of things for me to sniff and places for me to mark my territory. I was good and didn't pull my mom since she and I weigh about the same and when i pull she gets angry. Then when our nice long walk was over she took me to the pet store! She let me pick ut any toy and treat that I wanted. I picked out some Jum-Bones and a fleecey ball toy. Then when we got home she gave me some doggie ice cream, and then we watched tv together. What a great day!

Its COLD!

APparently I am what they call a Nordic breed. Shar Peis are from the mountains of china, they romp and play in the snow. I like snow....I like playing, but I HATE the wind. Its cold on my butt, and my little tummy. It needs to be warm again so I can walk all over and stay outside all day long.

A Dog's Life

So its Saturday. I succeeded in waking my mom up at 8am to take me outside to sniff stuff and pee on the flowers. I chased that cat thing mom let live with us, for a while and spent the day sleeping on my couch. Thats right, the couch is mine, the sooner new people figure that out the better. Oh I sniffed my butt too, thats something every dog has to do. Best part of the day, mom gave me leftover steak with dinner. Yum yum!
