Favorite Food: Red bell or yellow sweet peppers which he can have one small piece once a week.
Favorite Walk: Anywhere!
Best Tricks: Kisses on command, sorta play dead, sits, lays down, goes up, talking, giving a paw, and then the other paw and sometimes he does here or come when he feels up to it.
Arrival Story: My husband and I had wanted a dog for awhile, but were still living in an apartment. We had decided once we sold our apartment and bought a house we'd get a dog. Well one day at work someone from the upstairs people brought in puppies. My supervisor asked me if I liked dogs, and should go and take a look. I said I LOVE DOGS! Once I was in the canteen visiting the puppies, someone told me they were for sale. So I talked to the owner (I was in love with these puppies), and he said they had one left. I begged him to hold the puppy for me for one day until I talked to my husband. I emailed my husband at home and said, "How would you feel if I just bought a puppy?" He was all weirded out, and wasn't sure we were ready, but agreed that he would come and see the puppy. The next night we went to visit the puppies, and my husband didn't even want to leave the puppy there anymore! We brought Vlad home 2 days later, (February 4th, my husband's birthday), and then in July we had a house.
Bio: Vlad loves to run beside the bicycle's and when he's tired, we have a wagon for behind my husband's bike that he sits in. For a little dog he's got a lot of energy!!!
So yesterday Mommy, Daddy, Delilah and I took a trip downtown!!! We haven't done that in ages because usually Mommy and Daddy have sooo much shopping to do. But this time, they only needed to make 2 or 3 small stops.
First we biked and biked downtown stopping at a field for Mommy and Daddy to play with us. Mommy was breaking sticks and tossing them to me in the field. OH MY... it was so much fun. Delilah was already tired as she's lazy, so she was ready to go home and sleep. HAH! The day had just begun.
Afterwards we biked somemore, and then went to this place with ALL these people, stands of food and other dogs... it was crazy. Mommy stopped at one stand and bought some goat cheese. Delilah wasn't happy as she was like 2 feet from Mommy, and well... Delilah is a bit of a baby at times.
After the stop for the cheese, we had to walk through a HUGE crowd of people. So I had to keep my eyes on Daddy's bike, Delilah, Mommy, all these people... and keep walking! Mommy and Daddy said they were so proud of me, and I did such a great job!!!
We stopped at some store, and Daddy went inside (which I wasn't happy about), and bought us some bottled water, as Mommy had forgot to pack our special bottle. Daddy came back and fed us yummy water so we could continue.
We stopped at our last store then. Mommy went inside and asked if her and Daddy could bring us inside. The owners were so nice, they said as long as we didn't eat anything. Haha! So we got to come inside while Mommy shopped for a present for a friend and got some smelly burny stuff that Mommy and Daddy like to burn. (Incense?)
I really wanted to go into the coffee room at the back of the store as I could smell something good. But Daddy just cuddled Delilah and I until Mommy was done shopping.
Then we biked all the way back home!!! (Well Delilah rode in her basket, and I ran beside Mommy's bike.) It was so much fun! We are still pretty tired today, but wow... it was a great day yesterday!
OMG! It's so cool. Mommy and Daddy bought us a pool. Delilah and I both really love to swim, and it feels so good on a hot day. Last night Mommy was all wet from us in the pool, in her work clothes! Ahhh... but it was so hot, she said she didn't care. :)
Daddy usually puts us in the pool on one end, and Mommy stands on the other side, and we swim to her. It's so much fun! Then afterwards they gently hose any chlorine off of us, and we get to run around and around the yard. Man swimming is cool!
